TSS and St Godders arguing?! Now I've seen everything Don't see the point in starting a discussion telling people to not talk about the subject, especially as I've seen few posts about Pompey.
They may be our rivals again, but they are not at the moment. Have little interest, apart from hoping the right people pay and that isn't the fans.
Debating about starting a thread or not? I'm a Southampton Football Club fan, I think we will sign 5 or 6 players this summer and finish somewhere between 13th-17th in the Premier League. I also reckon Lambert will be our top scorer and get over 20 goals and Lallana will struggle. Anyway back to the more important matter, I agree that we should talk about Pompey less, please every share your opinions as to whether we should discuss Pompey or not
I appreciate your standpoint, but I don't need an explanation, StG. As another poster has mentioned on this thread, why start another thread on the subject, especially to dissuade people from talking about it, when very few were doing so anyway..? You can see how it reads to some posters, surely..? It's a tired old subject, so even starting a new thread, even in a positive way, rehashes the subject for people to come out with the same old points of view. Let's just let it go. Surely we've done it to death, haven't we..?
It's only 3 years since the roles were completely reversed. That's not long enough to stop caring about them, although winding them up is a bit like tormenting a sick animal - it makes you feel bad about yourself.
Surely if you want others to stop repeating crap. You would stop repeating the "our shirt looks like a Liverpool shirt" line over and over?.
Ok there is a lot of good points been aired in this thread......Godders does have a point as do some of you others. The Pompey guys that currently post on here are usually interesting and contribute to the debates we have at times. I have for some time felt that to keep knocking them over that which they had no control is not necessary. At the moment you don't have the likes of SB3 on here to stir the pot, rather like a bad apple in a barrel, long may it continue. So why don't we all have a bit of good will and just let them get on with supporting their team with out us sniping at them most of the time.
I think if we have something new to torment them with,then it is fair game (i doubt if we will have to wait too long),but lets see what happens if we take a couple of hidings in the Premier league early this year,and watch some of their "not so bright" fans of their appear again. Beddy,any idea why i cant find the Pompey board on the list of team boards on here, have i been blocked from posting on there,or is it my limited computer skills showing through?
When i go to League 1 club boards there are only 23 there,Pompeys is missing. It disappeared a while ago after i was on there giving them some light hearted stick,so can only summise i have been blocked from posting on there. I just wish this would be confirmed instead on me thinking i have done something stupid myself.
