From where i am looks exactly like a slanging match, just because a poster is from Cardiff seems to be fair game, kinda defeats the object of setting up house rules if not even the MODS stick by them. If people get offended by a video of a guy rolling a joint, then i feel life in general must also be too hard to handle!! Using a personal loss to justify a video of rolling a joint being offensive is pathetic, we all find certain things offensive in life but we also have the option to turn off ,turn away,not read,switch channel etc,etc Using that video as an excuse to beat one of cardiffs moderators with a stick is really quite sad and petty, some people on this forum need to take a long hard look at themselves as they are ruining it for everyone else. As im always being told, use PM button or the ignore button, try and practise what you preach !! Im at a loss to understand how cannibis smoking seems to be the most offensive thing in the whole world to some people, better stay away from amsterdam and real life in general if you ultra sensitive posters struggle to cope with such things.
eh? this whole thread was started to be a slanging match, which aussie has once again succeeded in. posting a thread to mock a thread i made is 'just expressing my feelings'?? as phil, dai and countless others who he talks down to and treats with total disrespect, on both this board and ours know that any thread in which knackered joins in turns into a slanging match, its common knowledge.
Swamp I don't disagree with you there, goodness knows I've tried to get the point across, but he seems to be able to do it with impunity, very frustrating, because most don't want the personal stuff, but just want to talk footy, with some well balanced banter in between, amongst friends, not a lot to ask, think you the Mods need to confer across boards, if you ask me!...............

I agree Norway - why would anyone get offended by someone rolling a joint and not by say a couple of guys drinking a pint in the local - the former has caused NO DEATHS and the latter MILLIONS - still we persist with the hipocracy. as far as im concerned let people take what they want (with all the available info of course) its our lives and our bodies/minds at the end of the day. As for the poster - he has made some very unpleasant and sick comments but banning isnt the answer, the best way is to ignore it and he will either go away or engage in decent banter. ...and as for the thread the guy was just pointing out that various players were from Cardiff - we would do the same.
Exiled! I wasn't "offended". I merely pointed out I thought it was wrong, posting up a video on how to roll, and smoke, an illegal drug. My 13 year old cousin reads these forums (Wrexham fan), and it's not the sort of thing I would want him to see. Now, obviousely, you can't and shouldn't sensor everything on the internet, but, if I wanted to find out how to roll and smoke weed, I'd search for it, not expect to find it on a public forum. P.s. Weed may not kill, but it lead to other drugs, which CAN kill. I should know, so really, that's not an argument.
Just out of curiosity, how "would you know" that weed leads to harder drugs? That's the Daily Mail's argument, and it's like saying if you go into a pub to buy beer, you're going to end up drinking vodka. It's rubbish, sorry.

Err, well most people cried out about "freedom of speech" any time they were defending banter so it seems a bit strange that people are so offended by someone rolling a joint. Out of curiosity, did you read my post? I didn't defend it's inclusion on this board one iota. What I did do was state the argument used against marijuana in general is completely and utterly wrong. I forgot, I'm not allowed to have opinions because I'm a moderator.
Christ you're touchy, Scott. I've never said any such thing. Free speech is fine but that doesn't entitle anyone to say or post ANYTHING they want does it? I really can't be bothered to get into this to be honest but the bottom line is that our own posters have led to JA throwing in his hand and that speaks volumes.
There is a line and it should not be crossed. This is why we have moderators in the first place. Posting videos about any sort of drug use crosses that line. In my opinion Ash was 100% correct in stating that. If Scott thinks that's OK then fine that's his opinion and he's entitled to it. However I would think that if Scott feels that way then perhaps it's the wrong mod that intends to stand down. They're illegal for a very good reason.
I've just realised that looks bad. What I'm saying Scott is to be a mod you need to be whiter than white, personally I think you both are doing good jobs and hope you both keep doing it.
Scott. While I'm not going into detail, here's how I know. My mother started on weed before i was born. Weed wasn't strong enough. She moved onto something stronger. Then stronger, then stronger. Eventually, she got to heroin, which killed her. So, for the sake of kids reading this forum, I asked for it to be removed.
Sorry to hear that. Pleased that you're re-considering your role as moderator. Perhaps the protagonists will ease off a bit as a result.
