My comments are not specifically aimed at people on this forum, i am talking about certain Arsenal fans in general The people who would want Usmanov to buy and bankroll our club are in my eyes hypocrites as how many of these people have abused Stretford,Citeh and Chav fans for having foreign owners who bankroll their clubs. How many Arsenal fans sneered at chelsea fans that their club had bought the league after Abramovich had bought their club ?How many Arsenal fans sneer at Citeh for buying the league last season ?
That's fair enough and I understand what you mean, however these fans are few and far between and to be perfectly honest they are right in a sense that we were title contenders along with United each season however we have fallen down the pecking order because of massive finical power given to some clubs, so fans have a right to say that certain clubs are only in contention (City because of investment) Chelsea were usually up there but were not really title contenders. If we did for some reason become big spenders then I would see it as leveling the playing fields against these teams and putting us back were we rightfully belong before all this big money started to pour in. This however in turn would effect the smaller clubs and in the long run would be detrimental to the league overall. In and ideal world I would prefer the clubs to be on a level playing field, that way becoming champions is far more rewarding.
In all honesty i don't think there has ever been a level field (excuse the pun) when it comes to football.here Arsenal not regarded as the "Bank Of England" club during the 30's.
I can actually see good and bad points about having a billionaire investor. I think that alot of clubs do respect the fact that Spurs and Arsenal actually make a profit each year and we are to a point still challenging, but that is the problem, we can only challenge to a point without further investment. I would imagine IF (and i dont think it will happen) Spurs get taken over by an arab billionaire then go on to sign better players and win the league, of course we would be happy as we are supporters of the club, but at the same time it wouldn't quite feel as sweet as if we could win the league without the invertment. So I guess from my point of view, I would gladly accept the money but would take a slight shine off of future achievements (a bit like a 100 metre runner on steroids, still loves to win but knows deep down he cheated a bit).
I suppose your right there I personally wouldn't be too annoyed if Spurs invest a bit (unless they act like City ) as it will add extra spice to the rivalry already. I really looked forward to our clashes with them this season because of how close we were in the tables and felt that it was more gratifying beating them this season than some of the previous seasons because of how close the teams were. Lets hope the rivalry continues and we stuff them like last season
Remember lads, no clubs is a smalltime and pathetic as Manchester City were/are. No club in football history has been so amazingly **** that it relegates itself while outspending the champions that same season. No club in football history spends 40 years crying at how a club spends loads of money and buys success while during this period outspending them more often than not. No club in football history has ever then completely changed its tune over night and now uses the same thing they spent 40 years crying over to justify it. No club is Man City, if they were then there would be no football, they would **** it up.
Your mum made a big mistake giving birth to you. A lesson for all .. what can happen when you don't "pull out in time" or use condoms, you end up parenting an oxygen thief like this twat
Mum insults. The domain of inbreds, abused children and wannabe gangsters. I assume you fall into all 3 categories squire. Have a good day dollface.
No, mum insults are standard as a Londoner you "plick" Now go and argue with the dunces on the Man U board, stick to those on your level which .. in truth is not very high.
Nice Avatar ASKYO I always find it says a lot about a football fan when they focus more on their hate for their rivals than they do on their love for their own team.
