The club's statement effectively means "We are not in a hurry to sell regardless of what he says, so you will not get him on the cheap"
1) By stating he won't sign without the club's permission he has put the club in a weak bargaining position 2) He won't come out and say i'm leaving due to financial gain and if he was telling the truth he should have said this long time back as its evident he never intended to sign from the outset 3) He lied about dein being on holiday (at least according to the club) 4) We stuck by him through thick and thin and this is how he repays us 5) He doesn't have many years at the top level left 6) By selling we can fortify with one top class striker and a midfielder which will prove to be ultimately more beneficial
Regardless, if he leaves for an EPL club it will still be disrespectful considering how the club has stood by him. I wouldn't be mad at him if he goes to another league.
At least IF RVP stays it becomes much easier now with our formation. Manager's priority now are Giroud and Podolski, so our attack should be shaped around these two guys with RVP playing more wider/supportive role. Thta is of course IF he stays.
I am on it. It's nothing fancy, just a pic of the Emirates. Unless our stadium also decides to leave us, we should not have this problem in the future.
please log in to view this image Our new banner (when Mick sorts it out). Like I said, nothing fancy. We did try but could not find anyone with those Photoshop skills.
I agree with you on this one, it's all down to ambition and he left for that. Funny how everyone's turning on RVP when he single-handedly saved us from dropping to 6th-7th this season. What do you expect one of the best players in the world to do, hang around on a prayer that we'll win something? I would put my house down on Wenger and co knowing RVP would reject a new contract and that's why they rushed out to buy 2 new strikers! When was the last time we did that? Arshavin was the last time we did that, and that was only because we were struggling to get into a champions league spot. Buying 2 new strikers was very uncharacteristic of how we've operated for so long. They only do something like this if necessary. Sorry but i don't take RVP as a money grabbing a-hole. One thing we know is he loves Arsenal. For him to leave it would be for a valid reason.
It's funny how he was quite happy to stay when he was spending most of his time on the treatment table.I wont call him Judas as he'll just become another ex player to me.I'm old enough to remember the break up of the 1971 double side so i've seen many players come and go.The one thing that never changes is Arsenal Football Club.It was in existence before RVP and it'll be there a long time after he's gone
You can't blame him for being injured can you. At the end of the day, he gifted us with Champions league football next season, so we should be grateful to him for that. Unfortunately our club is not ambitious enough for him and he's running out of time. He wants to win something, and i respect that decision.
And he's stood by the club by giving 100% throughout this season when everyone around him were playing poorly. The amount of blood, sweat and tears he gave to the cause this season should not be ignored. While others were pants, he never gave up once.
Maybe he got his attitude from you you ungrateful tw@t. He carried ****e like Ramsey all season and still got us into CL. When Ramsey gonna pay us back for his slack due to his injuries. . ? Answer . never . Short memories .
