    Cardiff City have agreed to refund season tickets, minus a £20 admin charge for anyone who requested before 3rd July.

    I hope that they also blacklist those who are refunded so that they will never be able to buy a Cardiff City ticket again.

    Hiya DJ, hope you and yours are ok mate. <ok>

    This was always going to be a highly emotive issue and I fully understand and respect the strength of your opinion on this. The problem is, we football fans are a funny old breed and we react in strange ways sometimes. We've all had time where we've said "never again" and for periods in the 70's, 80's and 90's about 10,000 people not only said it, but did it. They disappeared because we couldn't get it right on the pitch and there wasn't much in the pipeline to move us on. I'm sure many of those are back in the fold now. If we blacklisted everyone who turned their back on the club, it could be a mighty long list.

    That said, I think there maybe one or two elements of the discontented who have their own agenda and we are well rid of them.

    I just think that we need to be a bit understanding of those who finding the change genuinely difficult and leave the door open for them.

    How's the weather down there? It's pelting down up here.

    Hi Clingo,

    Sun is trying to shine in Gods own.

    I see your point of view, I myself missed a few years some because of family and some because of ill health and I respect those who find it difficult in these hard times.

    BUT... These are people who bought season tickets and now choose to turn their backs on Cardiff City, I think Cardiff City should turn their backs on them.

    This is my opinion and mine only, no fans were hurt in taking this opinion.

    H

    No mate AA will still be there, he makes the bullets for others to fire, I bet there are quite a few sorry now, they've been taken in by the anti-red lot.

    Not to late for them though a quick note to the club to say they are not taking up the offer of a refund and all will be okay.

    ah well, was worth a shot. He'll be one of the loudest if results go well at the start of season....the man is a fool.
    Even CC has earned a bit of respect throughout Redgate... just a little though

    Some of these people will be cutting their noses off to spite their face.

    This could be a big season for us and some (not many from what I can gather) could be missing out on one of our biggest seasons. Nothings guaranteed, but it could be a defining season (one way or another <yikes> ).

    I wasn't at that meeting and all the reports I've read from it all basically summarise a very one sided, blinkered view posted on what I can only describe as a spoilt brats blog - myonlycardiff.

    I wonder how many of the 28 who turned up will take the refund from the club?... and pay £20 for it too :D Could have got a Toon ticket for that

    28 eh, bet our accountants are quaking in their boots.

    One or two decent signings and more than that will sign up for the first time.

    Talking of votes, I just read on the BBC site that Rangers were the only team to vote in favour of Rangers (newco) being admitted to the SPL. If Rangers have been thrown out and Rangers (newco) aren't in, how can they vote?

    28 turned up? Lol.

    This is a non issue then, we'll still see an increase on last year. Seriously only 28 out of 20odd thousand. What a protest.

    Must try harder.

    28 were in the meeting but the latest is about 98 asked for their money back.

    A few only signed for a ST to get a Carling cup final ticket, so and easy way out for them.

    Some have changed their mind and are not going through with it.

    Once the bluster blows away I'll be serprised if 30 end up getting a refund.

    No need for that - but their right to a reduced price season ticket next year as part of the 'Ambassador' deal should be forfeited. For all the fuss, which Wales on Line has tried to blow up, very few fans are actuallly interested in this option (it works out at under 0.5% of season ticket holders, which the media - for whatever purpose -defines as 'many fans').

    the number of people who are so anti red that they will not go to the CCS next year may be low, but the people who are irked and disappointed by these changes but still go (like me) will undoubtably be much higher. i will give the team the same level of support i always do though.

    i agree that they should be added to the bottom of a waiting list if we get promoted but i'm surprised you're so against these people DJ. they feel the soul has been ripped away from the club and may find it hard to identify with the team now.........

    I stick by that. Pre-takeover, I was going to boycott Elland Road next season because I disagreed with Bates' use of the club as his plaything. These Cardiff fans who've sought refunds want the same. If someone said I should be blacklisted and never be able to come back after the disappearance of the current owners and not even be able to go to away games which doesn't put money into the club/ego trip, I'd have felt insulted and rightly so.

    The fact you have that really, really poor-quality badge in your avatar says it all. You might not be a sheep-shagger, but you're certainly a sheep. <ok>

    Club offer season ticket refund - email

    As you are aware, following the announcement of the changes to be implemented for the commencement of the 2012/13 season, we have been in dialogue with a number of season ticket holders who have requested a refund on their season tickets.We have been genuine in our desire not to see any Cardiff City fans lost to the club as a result of this process, but understand that for some, the change of colour is one which they cannot support under any circumstances. Whilst we have endeavoured to engage and explain the decisions in the wider context of the Club as a whole, we reluctantly accept that for some this remains the case.

    The club has tried to ensure that sufficient time has been taken so that nobody makes a decision which they will subsequently regret. It is important that decisions are not taken in the heat of the moment, instead only being made after due reflection and in full understanding, both of the reasons for the changes and of the consequences of no longer being a Cardiff City season ticket holder.We always work hard as a Club to operate as a customer focused and customer friendly organisation and wherever possible will try to accommodate our supporters' reasonable requests and wishes.

    Whilst as a Club we are under no legal obligation to do so, to that end we have agreed:

    1.We will offer a full refund, minus a £20 admin fee to those season ticket holders who have so requested in writing, and been received by the Club, before the close of business on 3rdJuly 2012.

    2. For anybody requesting a refund in writing after 3rd July 2012, we will only be able to do so if we are successfully able to resell such season ticket before the season start (and without obligation or promise).

    In coming to that conclusion and being able to agree the same, we have been both helped and encouraged by the influx of new season ticket holders that we have also seen in that same period.

    The procedure for anybody wishing to pursue their refund application is as follows:

    1. Each person who has previously lodged a written request for a refund prior to close of business on 3rdJuly 2012 will be given until the close of our final refund request deadline, 5pm, July 12th 2012 in which to confirm in writing (email or letter) that they still want the Club to process that application;

    2. If no confirmation is received ahead of the close of our final refund request deadline, 5pm, July 12th 2012, we will assume that a refund is no longer required;

    3. For those so confirming after our final refund request deadline, 5pm July 12th 2012 or for any new cancellation requests the Club will cancel the season ticket and put the seat back on resale ahead of the new season, without obligation or promise of actual sale;

    4. Any monies due will be refunded by no later than the 31st July 2012.

    As said at the outset, we hope that on reflection those wishing to pursue the refund application will be at a minimum and that we will continue to see all supporters getting behind the team as usual for the new season.
