http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footba...ns-plan-libert-transformation-91466-31300323/ No green light unless we survive this season. Very sensible.
I think that's fair enough. As pointed out before by others we are losing money this season by not being able to put all the willing bums on seats but by investing this season in expanding the stadium we might make a bigger loss in the long run if we get relegated. If all goes well it'll be an amazing atmosphere with 32,000 fans singing their hearts out! And we are singing......
I agree as well. But doesn't anyone at Wales Online proof read? I mean who is 'Libert'? This is in the headline ffs!
KJ, isn't "Libert" the inter-bank interest rate that Barclays Bank were involved with...? On the subject of the Cardiff media, did you notice all the Welsh media outlets choking on their words today and yesterday? The headline on BBC Wales news was "Giggs, Bellamy, and Ramsay in the GB Olympic team". They are sick as parrotts over there in Championship Land, delusional and in complete denial about the football miracle happening 40 miles down the road from the capital city (i.e. the only capital city in Europe without a top-flight team).
Did they really only say that campion ? These players are welsh but come on the real action is down west, where FOUR players who played for us last season in the PREMIER LEAGUE, have had call ups to be part of TeamGB. We are the team with the most players in the Olympics and its killing them to say it
this is the same news that was said 6 months ago. Why say it again when we know its a non starter for a number of reasons. the only difference is the attendance figure that was 35k last time down to 32k this time....
no they cant yet not until all partys and local buisinesses have all agreed....that is only if we are still in the premiership anyway. long way to go yet im afraid.
Im sure you said they couldnt expand at all as we dont own the stadium? Didnt you say something along the lines of that?
No i said we cant make the decision to expand and we cant, there are many others who have to agree, we are renting the stadium so all we can do is put in a proposal for consideration, we can have plans drawn up we can have the money available and thats all we can do on our part, it will then go through planning permission where others have an opportunity to see what it entails and whether it will effect them in anyway and it will only take one objection to put the scheme back years....All this was said by jinks the last time and and he has not done anything about it only talk about it.....I would love to increase the stadium by 10,000 but its not as straight forward as you think....
So basically, far from it being impossible to expand the stadium as you've been claiming for months and months and months, it's actually possible to expand the stadium as long as an agreement is reached? Dazzling insight there.
In fairness Dai, you've lambasted me and others about this, and you stated catagorically that we couldn't expand the stadium. Don't make people go digging for posts, just admit it.
as it stands its impossible, why has jinks not put an application in yet? Its obvious why as it wont get anywhere, i have said this from the beginning and it still the situation today, you can talk about it like jinks is doing saying exactly the same thing 6 months ago. anyone can do that ...its a wish thing with him and letting others know what they want to do in the future......It just cant happen just because we want it that is impossible.....Once all the legal red tape has been sorted and every single party is onboard its then and only then can jinks submit planning application on behalf of everyone for consideration to the planning board where they will go over it with a fine tooth comb to see if its feasible or if its needs to be amended.....I know what im talking about when it comes to putting in a planning application....its not as simple as you think it is....and anyone who has applied for planning permission should know how long it takes and the red tape it has to go through. Its a nightmare....
You forgetting something Superswan , the people who approve planning permission are the council, they are one of the partners in the stadium management company and own the stadium. So they'll be asking themselves for approval. Guess what the answer will be ?
different departments valley it not as simple as that...i wish it was. councillors do not agree with each other and only the planning board will have the final say if and only if it gets the go ahead...Its a nightmare to get planning permission for your house let alone a stadium, all im saying is that it is not as straight forward as some fans think it is and we just cant go ahead and put in an application and jinks knows this thats why he has not put one in as he cant YET...once every thing is above board then we can start the ball rolling....
The plans are not submitted yet as it costs a fair amount of money to draw the outline plans and the application itself also costs, it's not that they can't submit the plans it's just that we haven't secured our third season in the league. As for approval, different departments yes, but if there is will it will be done. It's the council asking the council for the yes on this. If they want this it will go through.
Planning is a long process which involves coordination between the council and the planners, Dai. It is in the middle of being worked out, and is not impossible in any way, shape or form.
