Anyone off here there? There was a group of about 30 Saints fans singing "we're Premier League". Went down quite well with the locals I think they were impressed more than anything. Great night all round, fantastic gig
Incredibly over-rated band. Musically, the Inspirals wipe the floor with them, but as they didn't act like ****wits, they had no mystique for the media to **** over. Glad you enjoyed the gig though.
Thank you, it was a fantastic night. Big fan of the Inspiral Carpets as well but for me The Stone Roses are a cut above.
Seems like, from what I can tell, everyone who went thought it was amazing. I know people were afraid it was gonna be disappointing but I've yet to see anyone say they think it was. I've never really been massively into them myself - not to say I don't like them, I just don't know much of them. I really like the two songs I've heard (I Wanna Be Adored and Fools Gold).
Fools gold outro was the best thing I've ever heard. Never seen so many people off their face in one place though. Definitely need to see them again!
I'm a bit jealous. Love the Stone Roses, excellent. Friends of mine are seeing them at a festival in portugal some time soon I believe.
Know 3 people who went, 1 of them thought it was amazing, 1 thought it was ok-ish, 1 thought it was pretty poor. All said there were issues with the sound quality throughout and it's always a given that Brown's "voice" will give out a few times during a set. Still think bands are best not reforming. I know why they all do it, money, simple as that, but music is of a moment & personally find it a bit sad to see 40 & 50 somethings acting like they are still in their musical prime.
spot on - i am seeing the inspiral carpets in kent on 28 July. Must make sure i get my days right though as the following day its Olly Murs
They are in belfast in august the day after I go to Foo Fighters so I'll probably get a second chance then!
