First of all I'd like to wish Jacob all the best for the future, if he continues to grow as a player as he was doing before Micheal Brown got involved he will play for England one day.

We (as a club) are a little pee'd off with the offer for him, and I expect us to take it to a tribunal, where we will probably come out owing you lot money. :cheesy:

The lad is worth well over 500k, If he would have stayed fit last season and signed you would've need to pay a minimum of 2.5 million for me. So even if we manage to get the fee upto £1 million you'll have a bargain. He won't improve without playing time, and I just hope for the nation's sake he gets it cause if not we are going to miss out on a player that fits the way The FA want s to play. He's got excellent creativity, flair, pace, long shots the lot, he even has an element of defence to his game.

Oh and good luck for next season, always liked Norwich as a club and place.

Btw here's our managers thought's on your bid http://audioboo.fm/boos/871349

thanks for your words. sorry about nabbing your best player and captain. we'll look after him, don't worry about that - he'll partner howson in midfield and potentially that could end up being an england midfield of the future. we've got a young, vibrant team here so he'll fit in well and judging by his interview, which is the first i'd heard him speak, i'm very impressed. hopefully you'll have a host of add-ons to the deal so if we do our part and he fulfils his potential, you get some reward.

A few of our 'fans' as the call themselves but don't really go to games are slagging him off but Norwich is the right club for him. We as a club could never give him Premier League football, so we can hold no grudges.

Just to confirm he is a more attacking CM read on a NCFC forum that he'd a DM, he has been playing with two Defensive midfielders behind him allowing him to push forward. But that's due to us not being strong enough to play without 2 defensive midfielders. He would be at his best next to a ball winner, just like Howson.

And thanks we will need all the luck we can get.

Not sure I didn't really rate him too highly, looked unfit and lazy after his first game which we won 3-2.

But I'm sure Keith will have someone lined up..

Late August fits the pattern of nine months recovery for an ACL reconstruction.

The intense and high quality physio means footballers can be back earlier, but there is no need to rush in this case

We've been on the receiving end of "derisory" offers of compensation too, most recently from Man City for young Angus Gunn. TBH I don't think the "offers" are anything other than preliminaries to a tribunal valuation. That's the way "compensation" will generally have to be fixed and the fact that even a club as rich as Man City wouldn't just pay what Norwich thought fair shows that that's how clubs view it. As we all know, football is a business and every club has to look after its own interests.

Re. Butterfield, we are excited to have him join. Our medical staff are excellent and he will be well looked after. Good luck next season. <ok>

Impressed by the interview with Butterfield. If he is as lucid and in command of the ball as he obviously is of his words, we've got a real gem. But also great to hear what he said about Chris Hughton. Confirms what a top man we have as manager. <ok>
