God knows how dealing with that kind of money would work, i'd expect it wasn't anywhere near as straight forward as a BACS transfer though.
Lee Peltier is all but a done deal aswell. Just waiting for you lot to get some cash you tight bastards cant even afford 350K If i was buying Leeds and was pretty confident of the deal going through i would of gave Warnock a little bit of money because while you waiting someone else might come in a nick you targets
Peltier for 350k is good business for you guys. He's not good enough for a top Championsip side but he'll do as a squad player because he can play right back, centre half and defensive midfield. Add to that he has age on his side, I would rather have kept him for the price.
I'm just happy with the squad warlocks building so far not much money needs to be spent to get us seriously contending
...not leeds players... Says who YW? They only stop being Leeds players when someone else signs them. As far as we know, will they be starting pre-season training with the rest of our squad next week?
I know it's a while since I worked fora bank, but then BACS was a clearing system. Transfers might have been fairly quick, but it took 3 days for the funds to become available once they hit the target bank, as they had to be 'cleared'. Also, BACS used to be UK only, and for relatively small sums. CHAPS was used for the larger sums, but I can't recall if there was 3 day clearance with that. I'd expect an international transaction like this to go through the SWIFT system. Not entirely sure, but I believe this is quicker than BACS. At the end of the day, who gives a shiite? As long as the dosh transfers!
Jock, you're right I'm wrong. Its CHAPS payments that are instantaneous & immediately available. BACS take a bit longer.
Im with radabeen on that one, didn't he sign a years extension. Anyone have any twitter updates. The Wall lads are quiet arent they???
Your spot on. Hence why it takes longer if the payment is coming from a foreign account, CHAPS are foreign payments BACS are same country transfer
There not, you need to use codebreakers for floor limits and check NPAs daily until you can phone the customer and confirm the moneys in there Unless you can do a CHAPS payment to another English account, then I'm guessing it will go straight in Confusing!
Both contracts finished on 1st July, Warnock expects them to turn up for pre season but that means they need to sign their new deals. They currently dont have a club
Heyho, let's just hope this 'kin injection of funds/buy out gets announced toute suite. Its getting really irritating having to wait. Training starts next week, & Warnock quite rightly wants all the pieces of the jigsaw in place asap so that we're fully ahead of the game when the season starts properly in a few weeks. Any news on outgoings? Warnock really won't want a 30+ squad to manage, even during pre-season where some might muddy the waters & actually start pressing a claim to be retained afterall.
Farsley White was still on his first wage reportedly 2k so wont get as big of an offer than he would elsewhere and brown was offered a substantial decrease so wouldnt expect em to sign anyway I like em both too
It's not about that and you know it. I wish people would stop banging on as if players have to accept what we offer them or they're money grabbing bastards. If you feel your current employers are offering you less than you're worth while another company are offering you what you want, what do you do?
