Just been to HRI for an MRI scan.

    How mad are them!!???

It was like being fed into a ZX Spectrum during the game loading process.

Never had one but I've been told they're crazy. 'Like being abducted' was a description if I remember rightly.

mrs fattiger had one and they told her they'd play music so she'd calm down.

first song they played was my funeral song and she had to be extracted screaming.

never had one but i understand they are quite intense.

Really weird experience, its the noise more than anything.
They put ear protectors on, but you can still hear it buzzing and clicking......big things aswell these MRI's must be scary for kids to have one.

Haha, they aren't normal really. How they know what being abducted is like, I have no idea.

But I think they thought they were going into a Spaceship or something <laugh>

I had an MRI scan last year and it wasn't the best of experiences . The noises it made and the fact you're strapped down and your fizzer is in amongst the heart of this machines substantial mechanics whilst it bangs and cracks then rotates is a tad unnerving . Just to keep it football related the result of the scan ? I have a sweed that is a perfect replica in dimension of a size 5 football .

i sat with our lass as she was fed into one - the noise was a bit unnerving , but the reason she was in there takes most of those thoughts away .
Gotta say though the search for metal bits on my clothing was a bit freaky

I've been in twice. They're not that bad. They are very noisy though, a load bang every second or so but to be fair, the staff at Hull Royal and later at Sutton Coldfield were absolutely fantastic at preparing me for it.

I once got abducted by aliens, apparently, it was very similar to having an MRI scan.

I'm ok, nothing serious sort of.
I've knackered me knee up again, had a cruciate reconstruction about 6 years ago the Doc thinks I could have torn it again.
Had a Donjoy brace on for 4 weeks now, its doing me head in.
    Scan results week on Wednesday.

    Ha!
Think it was over when I had it reconstructed, just been doing the odd bit of five-a sides.
Believe it or not I did it this time at my 7 year old lads end of season presentation just having a kick around....
...the **** I've had from the wife!!!

Ha, gutted. I hope it was just a funny turn then and not a nasty slide tackle from one of them 7 year olds.

If he went in foot over the ball you gotta ground him!

I took a patient down there a couple of months ago and went behind the machine to get some gloves, the operater freaked out,
    What are you doing ?
Getting some gloves, **** myself thinking I'd wrecked some million quid machine
He then told me my phone and cards could well be wrecked by the big ****ing magnet, luckily they were ok though.
Never had one but would like one to see how my messed up brain works, apparently they are to expensive to just have one out of curiosity though

I had an MRI a while back. Went in up to my chest. I'm hard of hearing so just closed my eyes and almost dropped off with the humming and clicking. Very strange experience

I've had 3 or 4 and it's a strange experience! In my last one I got some headphones and Karma Chameleon came on through them. In an MRI you have to be dead still, but I'm a bit of a fidget, but during that the fella had to get me out to tell me to keep still...
