Ok , i love a bit of a laugh but lets try this......

I think we should have a tune we run out to at home..pig bag has had its day....thinking more about " Louie louie" etc...

Our team must run out to a shout saying " welcome to london (the bush or what ever).......

Got lots of ideas, but would love some input. i have an idea based on the old ska tunes because thats where we are from; but; would love to modernise it a bit..not quite rave ian but If i putit together, I'm sure someone with sonme music industry knowledge could refine it !!

This is a serious project.Any and all input is welcome. May not happen for a while but...it wil happen .Ian ..i will be calling on you once i have the basic sounds

I intend to put this to Tf at some stage....Roller.this is on the scale of your "world of R's post"...any input would be appreciated..?

Should we be a ska club or soul or.......?

ffs, and mods..rest assured i will be asking for your input !!

For me out part of town is rooted in punk and reggae/ ska history. So why not combine the two with the Clash's version of Toots and the Maytalls 'Pressure Drop' . Played extremely loud.
Is it my advancing age or is the PA system at LR crap?

Yes,Good idea! As I listen to real music I give you all three to think about and if you like send them of the club and see what they??(not alot) (1) "Ride of the Valkyries" by Wagner. (2) O`Fortuna from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff . & (3) Triumphal March from Aida. I think the 1st.; & 2nd. would frighten the life of the visiting team! it does me when played full on! Have a good week all, keep the faith.

Some good ones there James, I think Sunderland use O'Fortuna. Some classical pieces really do pack some oomph...

I think this is a good idea guys when we went to Milton Keynes they came out to Welcome to the Jungle but then they had a decent sound system. Think TF needs to get our speakers sorted then we need something loud and proud will have a think.

Bit with the cannons from 1812 overture? I find the loud bit from the Enigma theme pretty stirring too, but not especially scary. Mussorgsky's Great Gate of Kiev very grand too, and appropriate for tonight. Or what about the one below?
To be honest I'm with Windsor on this, our PA system is too pathetic to do justice to any decent music, classical, rock or whatever.

Sooopa..I've never heard that before, but that, my son, is absolute class....It screams football and the first 1:30 you can imagine that with flashes of tarbs goal against arsenal, cisse v stoke and mackie at City....All on the big screen....
gonna have to think about how to incorporate that, as i also want something to include the fans/ sing along to....

Got to say though...Thats a menacing strat to a tune.....

massive respect for posting that !!

Well its rapdly become apparent that this isnt a small project. the amount of music i have listened to onver the last copuple of weeks and the variation really is immense. Some reall classics and some not so good......
Some obscure stuf (Bliss & Esso) and a guy i work with is a rapper and opened for M&M, Snoop Dog in Melbourne. (Ian - 3am in the valley?)

Gonna take a bit longer than planned but love doing this as i love music almost as much as footy...almost...

Loads of classical stuff i ;like but doesnt include the fans, singing along etc... They /ypu are our biggest weapon ( i treid not to say tools ...lol) and need to use our atmosphere and proximity to the players....

    All sugeestions welcome !!

    thank you ....

If you like that get the album 'Back in Black', it's a classic. I met Brian Johnson, their lead singer, in the Half Moon in Putney a few years back, what a great bloke. He's a Geordie and so down to earth, he was telling us about the album they'd been working on 'Black Ice'. And then, on the same evening someone fired shots through the window of the pub just before closing time, in Putney of all places...
