Good news all round and hopefully the cuts will not effect the team to much and we can be around the play offs at least.

Next on the list is to lift the embargo followed by signing a few players that can help the youngsters

very good news, survival was the most important thing ,now we can move on .maybe with the lack of money available we will be forced to blooding the youngsters more, but that will get the backing of the fans.whatever happens next season we can be proud to still be able to support our beloved club.<party>

Fantastic news. Almost seems like a miracle.

That's 2 great pieces of news this morning. Amanda went over to UK to show her uncle's afghan hound puppy at Windsor Championship Show (his first show) and she has just phoned to say he has qualified for Crufts.

Today is going to be a good day.

As someone who use to go a fair bit, I am pleased for the club and although I was very unhappy with Steve Hayes approach I must say publicly thank you for allowing the club to keep the ground and training ground. In fairness his view of football and mine were never the same but I must recognise that he could make it very hard for Wycombe after all the money he has put into the club.

The new ground in my view was never a non starter for the club, and he did make some serious mistakes especially sacking John Gorman after what he went through and should have been given another season! Took a long time to take to Paul Lambert but overall he did do a good job, Peter Taylor was a disaster and why he was appointed finished me off and he wrecked the side that Adams, Gorman, and Lambert developed, and poor Gary Waddock is having to fix
the team with very limited resources!

Went a few times over the last few seasons and felt the atmosphere at the club was very poor and perhaps now things will change even if the results first don't go their way at first.

Transferred my limited financial support to cricket and watching my adopted county but during the winter will try and visit Adams Park and see if I can get my football interest back which has been badly damaged especially after the 2010 England's poor performance in the World Cup!

Did enjoy the period of 1993 - 2006 and have many happy memories of the many acheivements
I hope that you will see this message as how I feel and not a criticism of the fans who use this board!

    Cheers Ray.

I have to admit though Steve Hayes' handling of this situation has been admirable and I take my hat off to him. I could not have envisaged a better outcome. His fond comments of Wycombe have also come as a bit of a surprise; after all, having handed over the club, he didn't need to make such comments.

Let's hope that he has gone a long way to undoing all the harm he brought on the club.

    Now it all starts !!

Fully agree with Ron's comments about Hayes's actions in these dealings and given previous comments by myself do also concur that maybe, despite everything, he did have the interests of the club at heart - but external circumstances dictated otherwise.

For those of you are not Trust members below is the email / press release they sent out yesterday. It will be interesting to hear more about the comment about the club 'having a positive balance sheet' - I guess that means that assets (ground, players, etc) exceed debts but to what extent and the implications are not clear at this stage.

There are two meetings organised at Adams park - on Monday @ 7:30 for Members and same time Tuesday for all supporters - worth going along if you can make it.

Wycombe Wanderers Trust Acquires Wycombe Wanderers FC

Wycombe Wanderers Trust Ltd, hereafter referred to as "The Trust", is pleased to announce that it has succeeded in completing the acquisition of Wycombe Wanderers Football
    Club Ltd.

In a deal of significant value, the Trust has acquired the Ground, Training Ground and Club, and is delivering the long term protection of the generous Frank Adams gift. Both Frank Adams Legacy Limited and Wycombe Wanderers Football Club Ltd start the 2012/13 season with positive Balance Sheets.

Trust Chairman, Trevor Stroud commented: “The Trust is delighted to take control of Wycombe Wanderers, especially in the club’s 125th anniversary year. The plan is to work
to a break-even model which will secure a sound financial footing for the club. I would like to express our appreciation to Steve Hayes for the considerate and constructive approach
he has taken throughout the acquisition process. In addition, we wish to place on record our recognition of the contribution made by Mr Hayes to the club’s achievements during
his tenure, and to Ivor Beeks and Brian Kane for their significant contributions in the negotiation process.”
Steve Hayes responded: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time, firstly as managing director and then as owner, and my support for the club will continue to be just as passionate as ever. I’m extremely confident that the club are in the best possible hands and wish the Trust every success in control of a club which I hold close to my heart.”
Under the deal that has been agreed, the Trust will form a holding company, which will control two separate entities, the Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, which will run the
footballing operations and Frank Adams Legacy Ltd, which will be responsible for Adams Park, the Training Ground and the heritage aspects of the club. The Trust is
delighted to announce that Karen Adams has agreed to serve on the Board of Frank Adams Legacy Ltd.
Details of the operating structure of all three bodies will be announced in due course, however in broad outline, the deal has succeeded in achieving the following objectives:
    · To takeover all the business activities related to Wycombe Wanderers Football Club Ltd including its' properties
    · To stabilise the current trading position
    · To reinstate the enshrined rights and with it the Frank Adams legacy by preserving the ownership of Adams Park and, additionally, to retain ownership of the training facility
    · To enter season 2012/13 with accounts for 2010/11 signed off and the 2011/12 accounts, prepared in accordance with the regulatory timetable, leaving Wycombe Wanderers FC with a positive balance sheet.

More detail will be provided at Monday's Trust members' meeting.

    Notes:
    Background
    · The Trust was formed from the merger, in 2008, of Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust and the Wycombe Wanderers Founders Trust, with the express purpose of representing the views of supporters and protecting the long term interests of the Club. This has been our guiding principle during negotiations.

    · With immediate effect, the Trust assumes full responsibility for the day to day running of the football club and will be entering into further, detailed discussion with all parties affected by the change of ownership.

    · In addition, the Trust will be enjoying the benefits of advice from Supporters Direct and other bodies and individuals having the interests of the football club at heart and other Trusts who have assumed similar control or influence.

    Looking Forward
    · Over the past few years, Wycombe Wanderers has made significant operating losses. The Trust is committed to reversing that trend and will be aiming for financial break even as soon as possible. There will be close examination of running costs and every opportunity for increasing revenue will be explored. The Trust's objective is to live within its' means and to ensure stability and security in all aspects of its' operations, both on and off the field of play. This is a time for financial prudence and consolidation, but equally, a time for optimism as we enter a challenging phase in the Club's future.

    · Never has support for Wycombe Wanderers Football Club been more important than now. This continues to be a fans' and family club. The Trust is determined to recognise and retain the values of its' long and eventful history. Support during the forthcoming 2012/13 season, the season that sees us celebrate the club's 125th anniversary, is vital. Our visits to Wembley and our Semi Final at Villa Park in 2001 saw tens of thousands turn out. Let's improve our home game attendance this season. Financially, and in terms of the growth in confidence, an increased attendance would have a massive impact.

    · Join the Trust now by visiting http://www.wycombewandererstrust.com/trust-membership/. Any Trust member having time, skills or a willingness to support the club in any capacity should contact the Trust at [email protected]

Absolutely agree JS, the handing over by Steve Hayes does seem commendable but at the end of the day he is a massive reason why the club is in financial trouble anyway. I will be interested to see exactly how the club is in a "positive assets" position. Hopefully it will truly be that he has written off a lot of the debt but there are other ways of "creating" such a position so let us just see! I feel absolutely no guilt about disliking Steve Hayes. The man is a bully, has never endeared himself to the fans, has grossly overstaffed the club off the field and well the stadium plan was a joke.

One thing I think we need to be cautious/realistic on is where we will be next season. "Play offs at least" I think is very hopeful. Of course you should aim high but as supporters we do need to rein it in a little. Remember the many supporters last year talking about mid table or even play offs in league 1?! The Trust will now try to run the club within its means, which I am sure will mean a tight budget. Where we finish could also depend a lot on how much Waddock has learnt from his signings last year. That said I think we need to be looking at mid table as a good season this year

there are lots of factors that will determine where we finish in the league.the beever staying would give us a massive boost, waddock learning by his mistakes on last seasons signings, tactically he must be better and make substitutions when they are needed and not after 80 mins week in week out.if we have to play a few youngsters then so be it,at least the fans will get behind the team 100 per cent.we don't need journeyman signings like halls ,tunnycliffe etc .i would rather us concentrate on bringing our younger players through.a good start is what is really needed and that will set the tone for the rest of the season.onwards and upwards and lets get behind the team whatever happens,WE HAVE GOT OUR CLUB BACK and that is more important than anything else, roll on august i can't wait .COME ON YOU BLUES.
