    wtf? That was random going to Reading, but I suppose free transfer = Bigger wage offer, and also the chance to be definitely first choice player is good for him.

    He's a good player and was unlucky up here because of our strength in midfield. I'm sure he'll do well at Reading and get the plaudits he deserves and become a fans favourite.

    Good luck to him anyway.

    Good luck to him. I can only remember one poor game he had for us. 99% of the time he put in a good shift. Covered well for Tiote a few times. All the best to him.

    I hope it works out for him. Bit of a shame since we defo. could have used him next season because of Europa.

    Reading seems a bit of an odd choice though.

    Indeed good luck Guthrie, I will probably go see us against Reading and will definitely give him a cheer or two. Always worked hard on the pitch, when I saw us away to Spurs him and Ferguson were the only two going for everything even late on in the match when we had been 5-0 down for a while.

    Not necessarily. Reading usually play good football and I think he'd suit their style of play. He has more chance of first team football there and they have new owners investing in the club, so it will be on the rise. They've already signed Pavel Pogbrenyak who looks like a good signing to me. If they can survive this season, I can see Reading building into a really strong club.

    Anyway, I wish him well. Good luck Danny (yet another ex-player who will most likely score against us).

    Yeah, I guess they've sold him on their plan (obviously). I just always saw him moving somewhere that already had PL stability I suppose, since I thought he always played well for us and looked the real deal.

    Best move for him I reckon. He'll suit their style of play and unless their owners go mental and sign Kaka, he should get plenty games in his best position.

    Best of luck and who knows, a strong season could see him forcing himself into Hodgson's 2014 plans. I think with a string of games he can show he's better than or at least equal to the likes of Henderson. <ok>

    Fantastic midfielder - provided you didn't put him on the wing! With an ageing midfield he can perhaps push for an England call up if he has a good season or two - maybe not as a starter but definitely potential for squad.

    All the best Danny! - just not against the Toon :p

    He could really start to shine with regular first-team football, but I doubt it though!

    <laugh>

    Bye bye Danny! <cheers>
