Rodney because the way the refs are today we would get so many penalties and football needs an entertainer.
I tend to think the modern game and players have changed, it's a lot faster, less physical and jeez the ball changes, I agree great players would possibly adapt but it's really like comparing larger and bitter. Todays players would have difficulty fitting into previous years, without the flat pitches and a couple strong tackles they would really struggle. I'm willing to be convinced otherwise
Great answer mate, would love to have Sir Les in his pomp,he would be nailed on to score us 20+ goals.Wouldn't mind seeing Bob Hazell's hair again also!
This initially seemed like an emotional choice but you make the case well and I think you're absolutely right. Macca for me, too.
Oh boy... this is a tough one! My heart says Stan the Man! Definitely my all-time Hoop Hero. But.... my sensibility kicks in and I'm stuck between a season in/out goalscorer in Sir Les and a no-nonsense leader in the centre in the form of Macca or Fenners - both determined and no-nonsense leaders just where we need them right now. Wouldn't have minded having Clement & Gillard either if I was to get greedy - what a pairing!
Don Masson, quite simply one of the best passers of the ball i've ever seen, I know Ale is promising but Don was pure class.
For me, being the younger generation and not having the fortune to see the likes of Stan or Rodney, it has to be Les or Seaman.
Roy Wegerle, Bob Hazell, David Bardsley, Ian Dawes, Sir Les, Marsh and Stanley but on £60,000 a week he'd probably be at the dog track come Saturday
