    I agree.

They've been playing well so far.

The atmosphere in the ground is dead, apart from when they're booing the Spanish.

I want Spain to win this.

I really can't be arsed with hearing about how ****ing great Germany are if they win this, and how we need to copy all their methods etc. Spain are probably the team with the best chance of beating Germany so I want them to win. That said Portugal have got this far so they obviously aren't too bad.

Some are suggesting he wanted to save himself for the 5th penalty. What a cock, didn't he realise that very often the 5th taker doesn't take one?

I thought if was common practice for your best penalty taker to take the third one.

I'm beginning to think I might have made that up as Young took ours and he's ****.

Still, it was ****ing ridiculous leaving Ronaldo to take the last one. In a way I'm glad Portugal are feeling the pain of being knocked out on penalties after
    doing it to us twice.

Call me bitter and all that.

The 5th penalty when you're the 2nd team to take them is basically sudden death, so maybe the other takers thought they'd handle the pressure better taking early penalties than later ones and he was fitting in with that.

Yes.... are you deluded? Even he's admitted he was taking the fifth.

To be fair it's Moutinho's fault soft nothing of a penalty really, at least Alves's had a change of beating the keeper.

Also on a side note i wanted Portugal to, can't stand how people say Spain play the right way, if i am being honest they have bored me at times, and they did when they won things. I don't think they've played bad, there just like fine art, i know i am supposed to like them but not sure why.

RONALDO=He was worse then Rooney tonight==bottled it big time with the chances he had
Changing the subject-- hope Woy picks Carroll and Welbeck+ others in front of Rooney in future tournaments

Ronaldo does normally deliver in International stages though. Many players can't just single handedly battle their way past Spain. Yes, he had numerous chances, but can you imagine the burden of expectation he's carrying?
Ronaldo at least still manages to perform well even if he does fluff his chances, whereas Rooney just did nothing. He poached a goal against Ukraine. That's it. Rooney I wouldn't consider World Class, but Ronaldo is. There shouldn't be comparison's between them happening really. <laugh>

What about the chances Spain missed?

Drogba in 2012, Gerrard in Istanbul, their clubs best penalty takers.... all went last.

I suspected you were a wum or clueless and you've now confirmed it.

Ronaldo had 2-3 men on him all game and still looked likely to unlock spain, though credit where it's due, pique and Ramos had a storming game. I get that some people don't like ronnie but wind it in. He missed a couple of chances but they were hardly sitters!

Ronaldo is a truly quality player , but i dont like the baggage on TV that follows his every step over . He seems to play for himself and not the team , though that could be partly down to the expectations from his own team mates and playing staff.
I only saw until extra time , and for the most part Portugal out played Spain .
Before the game i wanted Spain to win if only to shut the commentators up - i hope Germany win the final though.

Spot on - that sums him up. (Apart from not mentioning his diving and play-acting.)

Spain were superb in extra time and should have wrapped it up then - God knows why they didn't show the same ambition in the 90 minutes.
