Jeez, looks like bitterness to me lad.

As for your petty insult of LFC,that'll be the club that bailed Swansea out when they were skint?,if you know anything about Swansea you'll know what i mean.

    Ungrateful ****er.<whistle>

Getting back on topic - I like Sigurdsson and I think he'd be a good player for us. If Spurs had offered slightly more than us then I'd be upset that LFC didn't match the offer.

However, there are rumours circulating that Spurs have offered £70k a week, a new house in London etc etc. Does he really warrant that sort of wage? Personally, I don't think so and in that case, I can see why we're not matching the offer.

If we don't pursue this transfer, then Rodgers is clearly not that bothered about him and feels he can spend the money elsewhere which is good. Fans are quick to say that we overspend on players like Downing and Carroll etc, but then they complain that we're not forking out £70k for a player who had a good half season.

Of course, there has to be a balance and I'm sure BR will have more targets lined up.

Ok what did I miss?!?! A strong rumour going around that we are at WAR with Spurs now! All internet warriors to your keyboards lol….
In all seriousness though if he decides to go for the money, can’t really blame him like a few have said.

    its balls

Spurs have made an offer, it will be looked at by his agent ect and that is that, I think Rogers will be the deciding factor in this, I think:)

If Spurs had got into the CL then I would think he may swing the other way, with a good reason to.

If it is down to personal terms then it's the players choice - end of. There's plenty more fish in the sea. Personally I'm glad that we are not entering a beauty competition with the player or acting as backstop for his present club in case the Spurs deal fails.

Spurs fans in general get right up my nose. They are truly deluded arrogant nobodies. Swansea fans (at least those who have been here recently) have an over-blown sense of their importance.

Reports from journalists are saying that LFC found his wage demands unacceptable, but that we're still in it.

It's highly unlikely when our wage cap is £70k that we'd offer him more than we currently pay Bale and Modric. I'm guessing these 'rumours' are from Liverpool fans on forums and Twitter, Chelsea fans did the samething when Pienaar signed for us.

Does it really matter if he goes to Spurs? Once they sell Moderic for £30m they will have Sig replacing him for £8m and another £10m on a replacement for Adebayor (sp) and the rest of the money will go on the new manager/'Arry compo. Then they will rely on signings like Saha and Nelsen to fill the gaps. <ok>

Spurs have come in for him, whoop de ****ing doop. Thay have no manager, they have players wanting to leave, they are only in the Europa with the likes of us. Any body going in there before the manager is in and before they have a statement of intent for the next season would be a ****ing idiot or, as I have juast said on another thread, a Man Whore.

LOL, I've seen the LFC.TV forum, and it is special needs utopia. I think that board has a combined IQ of 4. Well you must be thick to pay to get on a website in the first place. Do you pay that directly, or does it come out of disability allowance?

It's in the Echo, sounds a bit like a "we didn't want him anyway" story, not sure if there is anything credible in it, I'll wait and see what happens by the weekend.
