The other side to the stat for that though would be how often did he create himself chances compared to having someone lay it off or flick it on for him? If it rarely happened then there's no wonder that few of his goals came about that way.
In the first half of the season when we played 4-4-2 there were plenty of one-on-ones created but he kept missing them. Maybe he can only score chances created by himself? Anyway the point is, the fact that he created so many goals by himself proves he can play that role well enough.
