West Ham apparently offering £2 million, swear they must have about 8 strikers, however, if true he'd go there or somewhere else in the Prem, can't see him dropping down.
Im not bothered about him, if we get him then fine he will do good playing instead of sitting, if not then I don't mind he isnt anything special.
Him and Heskey could make a good foil. Not sure what that would mean for Fryatt though. Dont see him coming here either way.
He'd be a 4 million striker at least. Surprised they're looking to sell to be honest, he's good for a club like them and I'd thought he'd suit O'Neil. As for West Ham, never mind 8, it's about 12! All Sam does every time they lose is sign a striker.
I thought I saw mention of some sort of swap deal, for someone that the Mackems want from Boro, though I probably read it on some bollocks rumour site.
Not shocked he is for sale as Slumberland need to raise cash for new and better in-comings. No i dont want him back in a Hull City shirt, ever. That ship has sailed. imo. Not as good as Matty Fryatt and Heskey, imo. FC will more than likely stay in the PL. (Fulham or Wigan IMO) Nor do i. I much prefer the Fryatt and Heskey pairing thanks. Yes he is but you have the wrong city. Its Lesta City once they get rid of Mills and Beckford. !!! AGREED. Merge it with the last FC thread. Then again we have many FC threads, ffs. Ive heard that Fulham want Campbell now that they have lost Poggy(to Reading) and Andy Johnson(to DQPR).
Cant believe everyone on here who would welcome him back. Have you got short memories the way be mucked us about and strung the club along.
I get your point Tigers40 - I kind of feel the same way but when he messed us about it was his dad pulling the strings. The question for me is do we want a quality player at the club who has a track record of attacking play and is in the right stage of his career. The answer has to be yes - knock in a few and we'll all forget about the past. I would have a question over his recovery from injury and how prone he is going to be to knocks. We would need to be able to get long stints out of him.
For the good of the club I would accept him back and I would cheer FOR THE CLUB if he scored for us. But I, like you, remember what he and his father did. You could even argue his keeping us hanging on contributed to the season that followed, and I think he behaved like a kunt. If I were in charge I wouldn't want to see either of his two faces ever stain the Hull City Shirt ever again.
All of this is academic, he's more than capable of playing in the Premier League, he'll probably end up at one of the promoted clubs.
