Sorry crashed out yesterday, too many Crabbies. Stinking headache though. So first question in my quest to find a quiz team In the UK, which month is the longest month of the year (and no it is not to do with the number of letters in the name of the month)
Morning all. Just checking in to see who ended up sleeping in the snug, and who finally managed to get our Stanley off the fruit machine. While I'm here, I'll grab a mug of builder's tea and a bacon sarnie, and chin-wag for a while. Regarding longest month, if you're talking longest month of daylight, it's July. Anyone else around?
Longest month for me is always January, cold, dark and miserable. I was going to ask for a skinny cappuccino with cinnamon on top but I'll leave that sort of pretentious muck to Wubba. Bacon sarnie with ketchup and tea for me as well please. Listening to any good music today Willy?...
Morning, Sooper.... I was listening to some Mod classics on the drive in to the office (Small Faces, Fleur De Lyd, Alex Harvey, that sort of thing) and I have a handful of CDs that emerged from the back of a cupboard over the weekend that I need to load up, including a compilation of old Jamaican Ska tunes. Also had a band rehearsal on Sunday, so I've been playing some good stuff as well in preparation fro an upcoming gig. I'll get that loaded onto the 'Pod and put a list up in a while. Maybe January is the longest month, because people generally get paid early in December, so your money needs to last longer.
No Wonko got the correct answer thats why he is captain. try the full English breakfast (and a bottle of Crabbies)...sets you up for the day
Been listening to Planet Rock this morning, Rob Birnie's morning show has to be the best on radio for anyone who is into Classic Rock...
Morning WLW, have to say the bacon sarnies are rather good. October is apparently the longest month because the clocks go back an hour nduring the month, unless off course my logic has gone haywire!!!! Beth excuse my ignorance but what are Crabbies?
Why's it October? I'd have thought it was December (presumably when the astronomers add their seconds for the Earth's rotation slowing).
And it's all going to be relative anyway - if you live in the southern hemisphere, it'll be March, if you live in most countries Daylight Saving doesn't apply, if you're travelling back from the US you lose six hours anyway, and if you live in Norwich it's irrelevant, because EVERY month would seem to drag on and on like a rainy sunday afternoon with no telly.....
Lol. In Norwich the shortest month is February - the only month they can count all the days on their fingers and toes!
Morning all Remember the question was "In the UK, which month is the longest month of the year"....the question was specific to UK...and wonko has the answer. The longest month will have 31 days(obviously!) but in october in the UK the clocks go back ....so we get an extra hour....as opposed to all those other 31 day months (Jan,march etc) but October has 31 days and an extra hour. Crabbies, nectar of the gods...alcoholic ginger beer
Anyway - on to other topics.... Pub Conversation - Contention: That due to his displayed ability to run around, go past a couple of players, then pass to the opposition and fall over, is James Milner simply the white Ashley Young? Discuss.....
