If NB was still in charge, I'd put money on him giving King another season on loan. But since SB doesn't know him & he's gone back to Man U there seems little chance of it happening, new manager new players etc.. pity. Same goes for Vito.. two players us City fans would no doubt welcome back.. And since most of the staff under Nick have been shown the door, who's going to whisper in Bruce's ear that King was a talent worth nurturing? Warren Joyce perhaps? clutching at straws..
Id love Josh King back here. I don't suppose it's going to happen though,as weve already got the word on two Man U players who are. I think if JK was in the offing then we'd have heard. Pace, power, youth. It would be a shame if we missed out on what is to come from him.
Dont think Bruce will need anybody to whisper in his ear. First of all I would expect him to be aware of both players before he was even appointed manager, and even more so since his appointment as Id expect him to have been studying DVDs of last season so he has an idea of how everyone had been playing.
Would have liked to have seen him back here. Has so much pace and raw ability, so much more to come from him.
Also if we're bringing in Keane and Tunicliffe, how many players are you allowed in a matchday squad on loan from another club?
Loan rules... A maximum of 5 loan Players (Standard, Emergency or Youth) can be named in the Players listed on a team sheet for any individual match played under the auspices of The League. Up to 4 loan Players (Standard, Emergency or Youth) may join one Club from another Club in any Season. An additional Youth Loan Player may be added to this figure. A Club can have a maximum of 4 Players under 23 and a further 4 Players over 23 on a Standard Loan during any Season. The deadline for determining a Player's age in this respect shall be 30 June prior to the Season in which the Standard Loan is intended to take place. No more than 2 Players who are over 23 may join one Club from another Club on a Standard Loan in any Season.
I'm sure someone said that they had inside info stating King was on a season long loan and Heskey will sign a two year deal. Am I remembering that right?
King returning for another years loan was a deal Barmby wanted, I'm not sure that it's still going to happen under Bruce, but you never know.
Josh King is indeed more than on the radar. Erm...........its already been sorted i am advised from the same source as the Heskey news. But we may have to wait for him along with Keane and Tunnicliffe until after Man Utd pre-season tour to Asia. Utd have a few missing names(due to late hols and olympics) to cover for. 5 in the 18(11 + 7) match day team sheet. I think 5 loans per team is more than enough under normal circumstances. Yes you are correct. It was me on both.
