Fed up with the close season? Your Missus not on the same level as you when something is on your mind?
Pull up a stool and order your favourite tipple at Bowles's e-bar.
What better way to discuss anything un-worthy of a thread in itself than having a beer with your Rangers brethren?

Pop in and out as you wish and discuss any topic you like. Seen something in the news or in the papers that you want to chat about?
Maybe you've heard a good joke or have a problem with the board, posting pics, videos or rep etc.
Whatever it is, no matter how insignificant, pop into Bowles's e-Bar . Our board has a wealth of knowledge and I'm sure that someone somewhere on here
will know something about something and what better name for such a place as Bowles's eBar, the greatest Ranger ever who used to frequent ( and still does ) the
bars of the bush chatting to the fans.

Here's the first pint on me <ale> cheers!

Cheers Sooper, you'll not last long in here drinking pints of SC. I wonder what those Irish lads will be drinking?

How much does a pint of generic lager cost?

    Can't go mad - I've got work tomorrow. ;)

You set your own prices my friend. The drink, the price and the subject is your choice.. there are no limitations in here.
    Your among friends here.

I'll go first with a topic.. as ****e as it maybe, hopefully it will evolve with all the marvellous collective brains on this board.
I know that this will work, yours included Matt. I remember your post about what to do with Joey. I just didn't have a response at the time and it has stayed with me for months.
It was a brilliant reply and deserved to be examined further, but due to the many and flippancy of threads it got submerged. Never the less it was a quality post.

Anywat I'll try to go first with this........

I recently renewed my mobile phone with Vodafone. After a couple of years using an iPhone which I thought was brilliant and so easy to use, I made the leap and went for a Samsung note. I stayed with Vodafone because they offered me a good deal, but now regret it as their internet signal is crap. Has anyone else experianced this?
I switched to Samsung / Android so I could stream QPR games that I couldn't get to while at the fire station. ( Shouts permitting. ) Also for the not606 board, a lot of videos and pictures don't display on an iPhone.

I now feel that I should of gone onto Three mobile with their ' all you can eat data package' but my wife had problems with them before.

What phone and provider do you use and are you happy with them?

I've just switched to Virgin Mobile from Vodafone. Times are tough so the cheaper monthly fee (especially to Virgin Media users) sold it to me.

I got a nice shiny Samsung Galaxy Ace to replace my knackered HTC Wildfire (nice phone but crap battery life).

Tend to mainly use it for FotMob to find out scores, the odd maths game and angry bird session.

Coverage is meant to be through T-mobile and 3 (99% coverage allegedly) but find it cuts out of data mode too often. Vodafone coverage was better and the only time it really let me down was on the charity disaster in the Lake District recently (no mountain rescue thankfully).

Thanks for the nice words about my post BTW.

I should also add that I like the idea 9s - a thread where you can rant/chat to QPR friends without starting a whole new thread on matters not football related.

I wished I could find it, it has so much relevence today, even moreso than when you posted it. It was a real educated and thought provoking post, that dispelled a lot of the knee-jerk reactions that arose immediatley after the City game. It certainly challenged my preconceptions of human psycology. Perhaps we need to find it and re-admit it. It was too good to let slip by.

That's the idea Matt. Come into the bar, and chat about anything. I'm sure it will take off. For instance, I don't get the celebrity thing.
I also don't watch much TV because there is too much. Should I invest my limited time in the sopraos, the west wing, the wire, six feet under etc,etc etc.
I can't watch them all , so which is the best series? I can just about find time for MOTD.

I too have a Galaxy Ace and as Matt said its a good phone but it requires charging at least once a day due to the terrible battery life.
Also you don't get too much phone memory (only 164 MB) so need to regularly uninstall apps and it also isn't flash compatable so you can't stream of wiziwig etc.

I recently changed network from Vodafone to GiffGaff who run off the O2 network. They're a lot cheaper on PAYG (6p a text, 10p a minute and 20p per 20MB of data) and offer monthly 'goody bags' as well starting off at £5 (60 mins + 300 texts).
I'm currently on a £10 goody bag with 250 mins and unlimited texts and internet - not bad compared to Vodaphones £1 a day for 25MB of data!

The wife wants to get a smartphone with a good camera to post up pictures on facebook. The phone should have a card that so she can print off photos. She is looking at an iPhone 4 8Gb or Sony Xperia U. Thoughts anyone?

Look this isn't a pnone thread............. this is a bar.

Mine's a Sam Addams, Boston beer ice cold in the bottle or if you haven't got that (a bit exotic I know) I'llhave a Crabbies, loads of ice and a slice. And I will be outside in the garden catching the sun, if anyone wants to come and chat ...not about smart phones tho............I'm the girlie in the corner, in the Barca shirt.

Stella please. I'm going in the garden. Blooming mobile phones. I'm under the impression I'm having a conversation with someone and it turns out they're talking to someone else at the same time. How rude is that? I move to ban them from the bar. Beth, do you always wear a Barca shirt and if so why? An admiration for one of the greatest teams I've ever seen or do you have a connection with the city?

My Barca shirt say Hughes on the back. Being Welsh, and following Barca after the great god Terry V left Rangers to manage Barca...and Welsh legend Mark Hughes was his first signing. So my friend bought me this Barca shirt in the late 70s as a pressy...I dug it out when Sparky took us over in Jan, and I found when ever I wore it we won (except at the home Fulham match...but I am ignoring that fact. No in fact I only wear it to matches (don't want the magic to rub off)....but since this is a virtual bar...I thought I would virtually wear it.

So I wear my Barca shirt as a sign of my love of QPR (makes sense to me)

Don't know why you've all gone into the beer garden - the forecast said the e-weather is going to be awful (torrential rain during a prolonged spell of hosepipe ban). :0/

I'm not sure what the range of beers is like at the SBe-B, but I came across the lovely dark one in Poland (easy lads, easy!). It was a 7% and had 'Special' on the label. Lots of body (easy lads, easy) with a little linger, and no head in the morning!

I'll have a few of those please, Mr Bowles!

Yes it is Beth. We're out here enjoying the beautiful air, and (for myself at least) avoiding bloody boring whittering about mobile phones. As you can see, Beth, I have on my green socks to show my love of Walt Whitman's poetry - in homage to your Barca shirt.
