Once again we're piss poor in a penalty shoot out.

England deserved nothing from that. 10 men behind the halfway line at all times pretty much all the time. Post's kept England in it to get them to penalties. I like Roy, and hope he stays on. I hope the English media don't crucify him, as that would be the worst thing they can do

Carroll was decent when he came on holding up the ball but the others around we're utter ****e. Young should of been of at half time he was useless.

He wasn't, the balls he held up he failed to pass it to a team mate if you can't lay it off you may as well not hold it up you may as well just try to flick it on. We were rubbish all over the pitch (in an offensive way)

That's what I'm saying there were no white shirts around him what else can he do with it he was generally the furthest player up field. IMO he was our best attacking player

DO NOT GIVE THE BALL AWAY has been drummed into us by the T V pundits over eand over again!, and yet thats all they did, another penalty shoot-out defeat as well, will we ever get it right?.and terry should have had a penalty in the second half. At least the Germans won't hammer us again.

Rooney looked knackered most of the game, Young was s**te. Only decent player's on the pitch were Terry, Johnson and Lescott for me but that was because we spent so much time defending.

Most of the time, when we kicked the ball into their half it was straight back to them.

Just as well we were knocked out. Dread to have got a hiding from Germany.

Sorry mate you watched a game to me many times he pulled the down didn't look for a player ( they don't have to be in front of him , or even level with him he can lay it backwards) but his passing was on par with the worst on the pitch

Young was crap IMO, although he covered well in defense. I'd have swapped him for Oxlade-Chamberlain and left Welbeck on with Rooney coming off for Carroll.

Thought Gerrard was rubbish too, which was a real disappointment as he'd had a good tournament until now.

Not surprising considering Italy played a very narrow midfield, which meant outnumbering us, considering we like to play two wide. Which gave Pirlo almost total freedom to play it around.

Difficult to decide who was the most disappointing - Rooney or Young. I don't expect much from Young and in that respect he delivered, absolutely abysmal, the only thing he did was get an Italian unfairly suspended for the next round - Rooney was only marginally better than absymal, yet again failing on the big stage.

England - well ultimately they performed to expectations. Roy has a lot to do.
