Taarbat going - is that why we're showing an interest in Victor Moses ?

I'm going to leave myself open to all sorts of abuse, but here goes.......

...... I wouldn't be at all fussed if Taarabt went, he's not consistent enough in my opinion. You cannot afford the luxury of carrying players in the Premier league. I'd rather have Faurlin any day.

Right, the tin hat is firmly in place, let me have it!

I know what you mean Northolt, it would be great if you could wheel him on when you are 3-0 up!

Heart says I agree with you, the head says we could get a more effective player but hed be less entertaining.

    No fear.

I can see why you say that although I still love the fact that he can make me smile just with one trick.

A player with that skill in a hooped shirt is something we should fight to keep (and Hughes is working on the other parts of his game).

I understand where your coming from eternal, and to some extent I agree. But think back to the Arsenal and Spurs home games.

Believe me, I totally agree, a flair player and QPR go hand in hand. I've been privileged enough to see Rodney marsh, Stan Bowles, Roy Wegerle, Johnny Byrne to name but a few all wearing that coveted number 10 shirt.

My main concern with Taarabt is that he can go AWOL for 80 minutes of a game and we can't afford to have a player doing that.

I get what you're saying too.
BUT.......I've just spent over a grand renewing season tickets and I'll be mighty pissed off if there's no Taarabt next season but Barton is still involved!!

I don't think we've seen that since MH has got to grips with him though!

I would be the happiest bunny in the garden if Hughes can get 90 minutes of effort out of Taarabt every game, he has talent in abundance, I just wish he'd use it a bit more often!

if he won't sign then sell him, simple as that! why should he walk away on a free? sir Neil was the only manager that showed faith in him and made him what he is.

I don't think anyone is arguing with that tbh. If he won't sign a new and improved contract then sell him, by all means!

Bollocks, Hughes has turned Taarabt into an all round player now willing to track back and tackle. Warnock just let him do what he wants which works in the NPC but not in the PL.

No, sorry, you're wrong on that one. Warnock indulged Taarabt and it worked extremely well in our promotion season. For the first half of 2011/12, Taarabt showed his worst side and rarely had any positive impact. Under Hughes, he has really got his act together and is easily our most creative player: he's less selfish, works hard in defence (didn't think I'd ever say that) and has become a much better all round footballer. He respects Hughes for what he achieved as a player and Taarabt has flourished under the more disciplined Hughes regime.

As for selling him, yes, of course, if he won't sign a lucrative extension it's the common sense, business-like thing to do. But we would be losing one of our best ever players and we should use every effort and every angle to try to keep him..... which TF's comments suggest he will do.
