Cabaye is apparently one of his best mates. Plus I think he likes the French ambience around the club, he'd fit in here I reckon.

Quite versatile as well! I like the look of him, very attack minded.

It doesn't matter what he has eyes for if we don't offer as much as another club.

If he was offered a superb deal by Chelsea or Inter he would go there. I think we are a preference but it doens't mean he is certain to join, a bit of a nothing story for me

If he got offered like 2x the wages, but if I'm honest I think the only clubs that would pay the wages to tempt him away wouldn't have him or just use him as cover.

Think a lot of the stuff in the paper in speculation, same with Ba. Hopefully both players will be wearing the black and white shirt when the season starts against Tottenham.

Sell Ba to the Turks if he is indeed talking to them and use the money to top up our bids for Debuchy and Luc de Jong

If he is then yeah get rid, as for de Jong he's 21 and still a bit unproven.

Unproven? 25 goals in the Dutch league at only 21? Yeah it's in a lesser league, but come on 25 goals in any of the bigger leagues proves he has massive potential, if not class already. And he's young, he's just what we would look for!

Plus our scouts and manager reckon he may be worth around 12m+ Euros so have faith them them bro :pPPP

De Jong and Cisse could make a good partnership :D

Kuyt scored more I believe and he wasn't ever brilliant.

De Jong is a decent finisher, lots of potential, but not the finished article by a long shot. He's also not got the pace of Ba or Cisse from what I've seen. At the minute both are better.

Debuchy would be a class signing - I wonder why United aren't being linked with him, with their RBs being Rafael and... Rafael. Who's ****.

I never said De Jong was the finished article, but at 21 years old if he's 2nd top scorer in the Dutch league it proves he has talent and a lot of potential.

Pace doesn't really mean ****, there are Dutch league strikers with pace who didn't score as much. RVP doesn't really have pace, but he was top scorer last season and arguably the best striker in the PL.

De Jong as immense ball control, great header of the ball, good positioning, and good finisher. He's also able to play in the CAM and winger positions effectively.

At 21 years old he'd be a great buy for us, he'd fit into our club's plan, sign em young, cheap and talented. <ok>

I aint gonna base De Jong's ability to play on this league just because of Kuyt.

As Traore said goals in Dutch league proves nothing. Middlesbrough signed a played called Alfonso Alves who had socred more than a goal a game in that league and he was a total flop for them.

Some players are flops, and don't just come from the Dutch League.

If Carr and Pards want him, then IMO that's good enough reason to assume he's got quality. Plus I've watched him quite a few times, his all round quality is fantastic. Not much pace, but pace really means **** all IMO. His reactions and skill on the ball are great, and that's what matters.

    RVP isn't quick.

Hope your right, just think for the price being asked it is probably too much of a risk.

I kind of agree, and I personally wouldn't pay more than 8 mil, but in Carr I trust.

I personally had a view on Cisse before he came here, that he was just like Darren Bent. Fantastic poacher, but nothing else. But I was wrong, and I did watch a few games of before hand.

Carr's done very well for us so far, I'd tend to agree with anything he says at the moment.

If Carr said a polished turd was worth investing I'd trust him 100%
