At the bottom of the Andy Dawson article in the HDM. Quote: Bruce has earmarked Brad Guzan as one of his favoured goalkeeping options yet may have to remain patient as the American enjoys a holiday back in his homeland. Unquote:
Striker Chris Maguire signs for Sheffield Wednesday from Derby County on a 3 year deal. Notts Forest striker Dexter Blackstock looks set to be a target of SPL side Celtic. 18 year old Walsall defender Jamie Tank has signed for Wolverhampton on a 2 year deal for an undisclosed sum. According to SS Barnsleys Jakob Butterfield who is out of contract from July is considering a U turn about leaving Barnsley. Interesting if true though.
Jordan Mutch has signed for Cardiff. Really good signing for them that, I thought if he was leaving it would be for the Prem. Birmingham are obviously skint though, I fancy them for bottom half, let's go after that Redmond, and I wonder if they have a big striker with links to Steve Bruce we might be interested in?
Apparently it was only a million quid as well, a steal for a player with his potential. I don't think we'd have a cat in hell's chance of getting Redmond.
Zigic would be nice at the right price. In fact Birmingham look like they will have to accept the offers they get. (ie.WBA have tabled a take it or leave it offer for Ben Foster £3.5m, he worth more than that ffs.) Redmond and Buttland may yet end up at Norwich City as Chris Hughton looks to raid his old club. Who knows ? This is football and nothing surprises me anymore in football. I mean Hull City having Steve Bruce as manager. Many said it would never happen. Has been out with a long term injury yes. Almost back to full fitness. But i suspect Butterfield will have to prove himself all over again. Good player at championship level though. Indeed. The damage that man did to the club for starters ? City are still paying for that clueless numpties mistakes and errorrs on player deals, FFS.
Me neither, but then who thought Mutch would end up at Cardiff, he's more than good enough for the Prem IMO. Mike White has put on Twitter that we'll be speaking to Paul Anderson of Forest this week, would be a good signing I reckon, he played well against us for them, we need wingers and he's an Ull lad (I think)
I like Mutch but he has played 24 times for Birmingham so far, and thats hardly a regular for them, same as the Birigimana player for Coventry one i rate, but one who plays now and again due to lack of consistency. Suprised he went to Cardiff bit of a sideways step for Mutch, but he's not ready for the Premier League yet. Paul Anderson is exactly what we need, winger with pace who can get a decent ball in. Not sure how he has done at Forest though, anyone care to update me?
He was out with a broken ankle for half of last season, he played pretty much every game after he returned, he was definitely a regular when available. He's a good player, I think Cardiff have themselves a bargain.
I like that little kid at Cov too, I think he'll make a good Premier League player in the next couple of years, loads of energy and keeps things neat and tidy.
How much did it cost the Red Dragons? Interesting to see if Cardiff splash millions like Leicester or try and keep it sensible.
James Nursey‏@JamesNursey By the way, and this may be public by now, #BCFC apparently got 3million for Jordan Mutch .
Anyone speak French? Pierre‏@Pierre_02 Mercato #Reims : Accord avec #HullCity pour le transfert de #Ghilas. Manque l'avis du joueur qui n'aura pas une place de titulaire assurée. From google translator, Mercato # Reims: Agreement with HullCity # # to transfer Ghilas. Lack the opinion of the player who has not secured a starting spot.
