http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2012/Jun/shinji-kagawa-passes-medical-and-agrees-united-move.aspx Well it's official, Kagawa is now a Manchester United player after passing his medical and obtaining a work permit.
Never seen him play but I'm looking forward to see him next season after all the good stuff I've heard about him.
I agree, but we'll probably have an epic season winning multiple trophies and setting all sorts of records just so that picnic blanket becomes an iconic jersey.
Well we know he has real talent from the Bundesliga. Its not like he's an unknown or a potential. He could fail to adapt to the league of course, but i think optimismis justified.
Some papers are stating that he's said that if given the option he would not want to wear the no 7 shirt as soon as he's joined, he feels that such an iconic shirt has to be earned and so he'd prefer a less important shirt number to start off with. Sounds like he has a great attitude and respect for the club/club legends if that is true, I can't imagine many players turning down the no 7 shirt like that... *cough* Hazard *cough*
I think it's a bold and noble move, he wants to make himself a name on his terms not under the shadow of Best, Cantona ect. Plus he probably saw Michael Owen wear the no. 7 and was like **** that.
Prediction: first game he plays the MOTD panel will do a thing on him saying how he is the greatest player ever (like young/jones/smalling/every other man united signing)
