Interesting half. Greece for the lack of talent they possess have shown a lot of heart It's taken a fantastic goal to break the deadlock and Germany only look like scoring from outside the box. Greece doing this without Karagounis and with a 3rd choice keeper who's carrying a knock can only motivate England and show them that they are more than capable of beating anyone.

Aslong as Rooney doesn't play like Samaras, only seen him a few times and that was him fouling someone.

HR, it said they're going to win 4-3. The above says they're going to win 5-4.

Boateng was absolutely woeful - this is a job for Carroll and Rooney if England get past Italy.

In his defence he is a left-sided centre-back by choice, being played at right-back. It's a bit of a problem area for Germany (probably the only one they have).

I do wonder how Hummels and Badstuber would cope with crosses aimed at a big man like Carroll though. It seems that most defences in this tournament are vulnerable to that, even our own judging by Mellberg's success. With Chiellini out for Italy that could be an area worth exploiting against them.

Just watched the highlights show of the match. Flipping hell, Germany are every bit as impressive as they were 2 years ago. Fast, precise and ultra confident indeed. I felt sorry for the Greeks, because against another side they would have done better. Even so, they showed remarkable heart and workrate, and no lack of skill themselves, at times.

But the Germans are so good to watch. If Saints ever get to that level of quick feet and fast passing, I won't care if I can't afford it. I'll sell the bike, the house, just to guarantee getting down to St Marys [or wherever] to watch them destroy any opposition. If the Spanish possibly bore you to death with their possession, the Germans electrify you with theirs.
