At the moment Hart, Casillas had a fairly average season with Madrid this year. I rate hart 2nd in the world only to Neuer
Fairly average? If winning the league is fairly average then I'll happily take an average season for us next season. Casillas. He's been a top goalkeeper, keeping Reina out of the Spain side, for over a decade, and may do for some time yet. Hart is good, but he's got some way to go before he reaches that level.
I think on current form Hart is probably the best goalkeeper in the world. Can he keep it up for as long as Casillas has though?
Casillas just has the Edge on Hart at the moment but Hart will be the best GK in the world in a few years time. 1-Casillas 2-Hart 3-Neuer 4-Lloris
Yeah for me it is between Neuer or Hart but at the moment it is Neuer for me but I can see Hart being the best in the world in the future.
I think Hart is far superior to Neuer, Neuer is ridiculously dodgy when the ball is at his feet and I don't think he's that good Airily.
I must be the only Englishman who doesn't rate Hart. I think he is the number 1 simply because we are in an era where the standard of English goalkeepers generally is low. He doesn't have the physical presence of a Schmeichel or the hands of Shilton. Even Davies has a better natural positional sense. He got the Man City job when Given got injured and he has obviously done well to keep it. Don't get me wrong, he is obviously a useful goalkeeper but if you are talking about him as one of the all-time greats then definitely not.
I'm pleased with how Hart is doing. England has always had good goalkeepers, but a month or so ago it looked like we had a bunch of clowns to choose from. Hart has looked good so far and will gain confidence from this tournament. Above all you want a confident goalkeeper.
Yeah and he wasn't that impressive. Mourinho wanted to replace him for their latest youth prospect mid-season, the president had to come out and announce that it wasn't going to happen
He DEFINITELY does not. Keepers these days can make up for size and presence by sheer athleticism which Hart has in bundles. Also I think you're wrong about his handling it's very impressive.
ThatThereSaintsFan - whether or not you agree with me about the rest of it I can tell you with some knowledge of coaching goalkeepers that Davies gets himself in superb positions, as good as anyone I have seen. I'm not being silly and saying that he is the greatest goalkeeper ever but in this aspect of the game he is superb , better than Hart.
I didn't say he didn't. However to suggest he gets in better positions than a league title winner who is the national teams first choice is blind favouritism towards saints.
