With the news that Rangers new owners looked into the possibility of purchasing Bury to enable entry into the English league. Can you see them making a play on Portsmouth?

Bury gave them the short shrift but it sounds like there owners represent the town, the same cant be said of Chainari.

Precedence has been set from the MK dons. Purchasing a place in the richest league system in the world could be worth a good few million to Rangers owners.

Would we then become Portsmouth Rangers?

The manager would have to be a bit of a spin doctor meowth. After all, he would be the PR Manager.

Does anyone seriously think that the scottish league are going to kick Rangers out? Don,t think so.
Without Rangers, and of course Celtic, the league would be akin to the Blue Square league down here.

Hard on there supporters though, having to travel that far for a home game, but on the plus side the B&Bs would do a great trade and even a few of old Avram's haunts would do well.
Not sure about your sailors though

You are quite right Possum, some areas of Southampton do appear to make a very good living from (w)hole sale business - please excuse me for the terrible 'play on words'......

    ******************************************************************************************************

A general store owner hires a young female clerk with a penchant for very short skirts. One day a young man enters the store, glances at the clerk, and glances at the loaves of bread behind the counter. "I`d like some raisin bread, please", the man says politely. The clerk nods and climbs up a ladder to reach the raisin bread, located on the very top shelf. The man, standing almost directly beneath her, is provided with an excellent view. As the clerk retrieves the bread, a small group of male customers gather around the young man, looking in the same direction. Pretty soon each person is asking for raisin bread, just to see the clerk climb up and down. After a few trips the clerk is tired and irritated. She stops and fumes at the top of the ladder, glaring at the men standing below. She notices Harry Redknapp standing amongst the throng. "Is yours raisin too?" the clerk yells testily. "No", croaks 'Arry..........."But it's starting to twitch".

    I thank you...........:1980_boogie_down:
