I wasn't the players that got us relegated possum. It was the continual slow rape of Portsmouth FC that relegated us from the Prem and Champ. That team that day gave us at least something to cheer about in what is arguably our worst season in 30 years, or at least the worst in my time. To answer your question possum, it's hard to tell how many will be on our books. As it stands; Halford, Varney and Kitson will be staying cos no one wants to equal the wages our ******ed ex CEO put them on. Halford is the one of those 3 I want to keep but that will be reliant on him taking a wage cut. Allan, Rekik, Scapuzzi and Magurie were loans. Ashdown, Rocha, Pearce, Ward and Etuhu have left. Norris and Futacs are being monited by several clubs. So that leaves Harris. The born and bred Pompey lad. I would love for him to stay. I don't want players at pompey who have no affection for the club. Chances are we wil be in the relegation fight next year and we'll be fighting that with a young, possibly inexperinced side from out academy. The likes of Adam Webster, Jed Wallace, Sami Magri, Alex Grant and George Colsen will more than likely play a significant part next season (if we make it that far). But at least we know they would give 110% everytime they step out onto the Fratton turf or at any away match. We know that for the full 90 mins they won't stop trying their hardest on the pitch just as we fans will never stop singing in support of them in the stands. Either way PLAY UP POMPEY
I hate Bastian Schweinsteiger, for the simple reason that instead of training like all other professionals, he instead stays at home and (allegedly) munches sausages all day long whilst wearing leiderhoosen and goose-stepping back and forth across his living room whilst screaming incoherent obscenities at the top of his voice in a psychotic high-pitched squeal.
Cheers Herm, I still find it unbelievable how the x CEO involvement on the players wages could be as they say, the final nail in the coffin. I also agree that young players on low wages is your only way out at present and the more local they are the more you will get out of them. Keep singing
Whats more, the ex CEO thinks he did a great job & that the people of Portsmouth would welcome him back! Deluded & ......Awkward.
Not everyone HR. Most in the PO postcode think he's a moron, with a oversized ego. Have you heard he now works with supporters direct? That is a kick in the teeeth to any Pompey fans after the way he treated us.
Some players I don't like: Christiano Ronaldo Arjen Robben Franck Ribery Patrice Evra Wayne Rooney Mario Gomez Sergio Busquets Xavi Grant Holt Nwankwo Kanu David Nugent Jermaine Beckford
Well, not exactly 'hard evidence' per se. I'm just kind of going on a hunch, you know. Just a funny sort of feeling I get whenever I look at the pig-squealing sausage muncher. Of course, there is every possibility I could be wrong, but I never usually am with things like this.
Pretty much any player that has to go down holding their face when someone slaps them with thweir finger, anyone who rolls around crying but then is running around 30 seconds later, and anyone who blatantly dives. So thats nearly every footballer in the highest leagues in European countries. Oh, and there's that arrogant twat Balotelli. He's an awful player. What annoys me the most about him is that he does one little fancy flick or overhead shot that is on target in a whole match and does nothing else all game, yet he's considered the best in the world by everyone. Absolutely ridiculous football player, needs to grow the **** up
According to google he does train. The nazi accusation is also a very big thing in Germany not to mention a general ****bish thing to do anywhere. Are you basing it on him being German and having blonde hair and blue eyes?
You sound like a barrel of fun mate. What do you do at the football? Sit down tutting and shaking your head while all the nasty snobs sing horrible things to each other? We're English, they're German, we are rivals. Ergo, expect a little banter, but don't take it too serious! Every nation does it with their neighbours, it's a sort of tradition I guess.
Nazi jokes are a little too easy aren't they? Then again, it is difficult for us to make decent jokes about the Germans considering they're simply a far better people than we are and their country is nicer than ours and generally just a better place to be. I guess we just don't have a lot on them other than that little blip they had 70-odd years ago.
I think referring to the war as a 'little blip' is somewhat more offensive than anything I said. And seeing as the German FA has been fined in the last few weeks by UEFA because their 'fans' were unfurling neo-Nazi banners at the football, i don't think the issue has gone away has it?
No I sit there and laugh/cringe whilst middle aged men wearing replica shirts try and act the big man to eachother in the ground. You do come across as very limited, as Joe said, Germany is an infinitely better country than England. Also if you've only just found out about the neo nazi moment, get with the times it's been going on about 15 years
OMG Joey Barton is actually top d my list! If I ever see that f****** c*** of a man in public I will hit him, abuse him etc.. All he does is make a smart arsed point and then takes to twitter to make himself sound more intellectual, but in actual fact it makes him look more of a mouse. He is a first class t***! I hope he fully gets what's coming to him!
