If the rumours of the potential arrivals of Tunnicliffe and Keane are true, is this a signal of the Allams' preferred method of breaking news? I wonder if in future we will become more interested in what the likes of Cottingham OSC, OLM, Premier Tiger, Amber Nectar, et al, have to announce rather than the repeats that are re-produced by the more traditional methods?
I think it's purely down to it being pre-season and the fact the new management team haven't even met the squad yet. I know the official line is that things are being worked on, but right now very little is happening at the club and that won't really change until 2nd July. Then it will be interesting to see what channels of information are forthcoming - every club has people who share info unofficially and City under SB will be no different, just be interesting to see who it is and how reliable it turns out to be.
You could take up salsa....all the rumours on here of believable interest i mention to one of our owners there and have always recieved a fairly good answer to either quell or "not dismiss" ,leading me too ring my brother the next morn with the ultimate sources words!
They're just getting them onside. The Allams will know theyve been viewed with mistrust amd made a few gaffes so what do you do? Go to the biggest official group of fans and throw a few fish to clapping seals. It wont be a long-term change of policy.
As most of what was posted about the Cott OSC meeting with Allam turned out to be bollocks, maybe Allam's just getting his own back for their one eyed web site? They may or may not be the biggest branch of the OSC, but the OSC in total don't represent the bulk of fans, so it'd be a waste of time getting a smaller (unrepresentative) group on side.
They're hardly likely to go through membership lists and see who has the bigger number of subscribers, they'll just go for the obvious one. Well put it this way, with 15 years experience of high-level media and public relations that's exactly what I wouldve done. It's textbook.
The fact you come over as you do on here makes me question the worth of your PR experience, but in any event, nobody would need to plough through a members list as it would show nothing. Perhaps the numbers of members could be relevent, but only a fool would expect a homogonous lump of support that could have one or two people as being representative. As a mere novice at such things, in your 'text book' scenario as flawed as it clearly is, I would have expected the main OSC to be the one contacted rather than some vociferous out post with an agenda.

Just because nobody is saying anything official or out in the open for now does not mean that the ground and spade work is not being undertaken does it.? Once pre-season starts it will open up into the public domain. In fact very little is happening anywhere officially in the top 2 leagues.
Nobody from the Cottingham OSC has had a meeting with the Allams in an official OSC capacity. Bernard Noble who is the press officer for the OSC did meet with Dr Allam prior to the appointment of Steve Bruce and notes from that meeting are freely available on the OSC website. Any other reports claiming to be from OSC sources are inaccurate.
