‏@jaybothroyd @pomekent I will not be leaving Qpr I'm fighting for my place I have a lot to prove and that's what I'm going to do . =================================================== Still think he will go.
I don't think I've ever seen such a physically impressive player impose himself so little. On the very, very few occasions he put himself about in and around the box he looked a threat and we saw for Cardiff, albeit in a league below, that he does have some ability but he seems intent on fannying about doing **** all halfway down the pitch.
I know I will get battered for this prediction but think Betty or SWP will be our POY next year. Just have a feeling i have and no less likely than Clint Hill this time next year. Think they are two decent players who have had a challenging first season. A decent pre season under their belts and a bit more settled in the team could make a big difference to the pair of them.
Its possible (although highly improbable) that SWP could because at least he tries. Bothroyd will NEVER be a Premier League player because his attitude stinks.
I could see SWP having a great season but Bothroyd seems to have the mobility of an oversized breeze block. He just didn't seem that interested in putting in effort when he got given his chances.
A brave prediction. Betty has ability but seems to lack aggression in play - but it could be confidence, as you say. But 200/1 he'll make player of the year! SWP is 100/1. If he releases the ball earlier instead of running down blind alleys, he could give defences problems.
For all his faults I always felt at times the team looked better when Betty played. Just a small amount more from him could yield a big difference. As for SWP this is someone who was one of the best players in the land not so long ago and without trying to sound like our Joey form is temporary class is permanent. Really just don't see both these players having such tough seasons next year.
