Our rumours got stupid Michael Owen, David Beckham, Thierry Henry, Raul, Owen Hargreaves to name a few While its great to be linked with them we knew they was never going to come
So ive only read about Stoke City wanting Owen. I would have thought Wigan would be a good club for him as well. But if no PL club actually goes in for Owen then it could well be the championship. Hull and its surrounding areas does have great golf courses and helipads. Plus a great race course not that far away @ Beverley. Just saying like. Are they not last summers Lesta rumours being re-issued by chance ?
How many more threads do you plan to make on subjects that have been thoroughly well-documented over a week ago?
Moose from talksport has tweeted to mike white that he's heard heskey is going to hull. On my phone so can't quote the tweet but thought it worth a post.
If he stays fit he will be an awesome signing at this level .... we'd love to have him back. If you get him, fair play to you ... but I hope we make him a serious offer.
Great player for the championship and while not a prolific goal scorer he would definitley benefit Fryatt's game. I just hope he doesn't command too much in wages. However the Allams aren't stupid and i'm sure they will do what's best for the club.
Gordans injury prone and hes getting on a bit he was out for 2 years last time he was injured but still a good keeper when not injured
Who knows he might be a beast in the champiosnhip and score 15... I suppose he wouldn't be a bad signing but it depends if he's the only forward we are going to add this season, wickham or king would be good
Don't think he falls into the outrageous wage demands brigade .. might have an agent who does mind ..
Is he now ? Maybe the thought of a 2 year deal @ Hull City was the key issue here. No wonder Matty Fryatt has a good smile on his face whilst modelling that naff new strip. Could be down to the contract on offer ? Looks like my info is proving correct. TWT though. Nothing official just yet. Was that the washing line (it is a windy day) or your feet by chance ?
After being skeptical at first I quite like the idea of us going after Heskey. He might just be what our current crop of strikers need. Fryatt - Heskey Simpson - Heskey Stewart - Heskey all have the potential to be good partnerships. Mclean and Heskey would lack quality on the ball but Mclean is a good squad player.
Emile would be a great signing, he'd compliment Fryatt brilliantly, they'd be a real handful at this level. He could knock the **** out of the opposition for 70 minutes and then Aaron could be brought on to utilise his pace.
Heskey doesn't lack quality on the ball .. has always had a good first touch ... indeed Villa played him in midfield behind Bent and Agbonlahor this season and he was quietly impressive in terms of his creativity and passing ... people knocked him at the last World Cup because his lack of goals makes him an easy target ... but the goal he created for Gerrard in that first game was 'typical' rather than a one-off and a rare quality moment for England in that tournament .. further, his all round ball control and retention was far superior to Rooney's in that particular competition (actually Rooney was still poor in that department against Ukraine the other night) ...
My Villa mate at work reckons he's absolute gash. I suggested maybe at prem level these days but at i think hel be effective in the championship.
