Have you seen that you get 2 million euros for winning it? not bad for a pre season, could get us an extra player.
From 2003 to 2007, the prize money of the tournament was approximately €2 million for the winning team[9][10] and €500,000 for the runners-up.[9] not got a clue how much it is this year though. and its went down from 8 teams to 4 so it may be less.
Just reading a forum and I believe that the 3 teams in it are Us, Hamburg and then either Celtic/Bolton with Seongnam being the hosts? Think the biggest threat there would be Hamburg personally
The Winners of the FA cup get £1.8mil for winning it, but it they win it they actually get £3,397,500 in prize money if they start in the 3rd round, as you get money for winning every round, then you have TV revenue, then Europe the season after. but yeah, I do get what you are getting at, CL is £100 million, PL £20million (then - £800,000 for every place therafter), but I dont think its the FA Cup being cheap, its the others being way more than they really should be, and the FA cup gets left behind somewhat.
its Sunderland FC Groningan Hamburg Seongnam (who are always in it as they are sponsored by the same sponsor as the ones that sponsor the peace cup) and they are playing there as well.
Not only do you get a fair wedge if you win it, it also improves the clubs profile and we hopefully sell some shirts and start a fanbase in the orient.
