I read that a while back and it was a non story. Polish coach was talking about where he thinks these players would end up at and it was a misinterpretation by the English press.
I really like Strootman, but Willems I'm not sure about, I know he's still very young but he looked a lot worse defensively than Fabio or even Fryers, I would much rather we signed the player he replaced through injury, Erik Pieters, he's a much better full back but not as quick.
Emile Heskey is available on a free if your club wants him instead of having to put up with his white clone.
Because of injury, he's the first choice LB for PSV and the Dutch side, and he was named in their provisional team but didn't recover in time.
I do not know how I feel about Fabio going on loan to QPR. Only positive is that Hughes and Ferdinand will be there to watch over him but overall they are Scum and it's a decision that leaves Evra without cover unless Baines is coming in.
Rafael always does well after he gets a run of games. His biggest weakness is his lack of concentration at the end of games. He caught a few times at the end of last year spacing out, but overall I think he has the potential to make that RB slot his for quite a few years.
Not quite sure why we deserved that? Was going to ask for some opinions of Fabio...but I am guessing that would be a waste of my time based on this comment.
There's actually a thread somewhere about it. Another one of you lot came over and asked awhile back. In summary he is/was the better of the two twins, but hasn't got the playing time Rafael has because Evra rarely misses a game. He's super quick and great going forward. Decent at defending, but may actually be a better winger than FB. Apparently he can also play CM, as that's where he played in Brazil's youth set up.
Enough said. And that was just the tip of the iceberg at end of last season's dramatic finale. Fabio could go better and decent places for a loan IMO.
I initially thought that as well... But then I got thinking. If you are a striker or attacking midfielder going out on loan, you want to play for a fairly good team that has a decent amount of possession and where you'll have a number of chances to score or display your skills. (a team like Swansea would be perfect for a midfielder or striker on loan). However, for a goalkeeper or defender I don't think that a 'weak' team is the worst place in the world to be. Fabio has no problem playing an attacking wingback type role, we want him to develop his defensive skills and I think QPR will be a good place for that. He is going to have to knuckle down and defend for his life every match, and I think that can only be a good thing. If he went on loan to Benfica he would get used to playing in a team where he would be doing a fair amount of attacking (instead of primarily defending as he would at QPR), the climate would be a lot better than in England and he'd be speaking Portuguese all the time. For his United career he's chosen the tougher option in terms of culture, weather and football, and I think that is a very good sign for us as United fans.
