I see what you're saying about nufcblog, but I think you should give credit to Ed! He's retired, lives in America (so gets up at 5am to get the breaking Toon news) and is suffering from cancer and I don't think that website has been down for more than a week in the past 5 years!

 

Fair play to him must be a dedicated fan but the whole site is just complete hear say and irrelevant drivel as far as I'm concerned. But hey, live and let live I suppose.

Not nice to hear the guy is suffering from cancer of course, all the best to him with overcoming that.

Bedimo Nsame is superb,I've sharked him 50+ times on the Sunderland board, he is quick and athletic, strong, and consistent, I would envy this signing, I really would.

If you go him, switched Santon to his natural RB slot, you would have 2 cracking wing backs, and a real balance across defence.

 

Oh aye its entirely hearsay, but to be fair it's never packaged as anything different...I like it 'cause its a more concise way of finding out the latest rumours without having to trawl through 3 hours worth of twitter updates! I know ACS is a reader and most of our articles on here are started after links to nufcblog...Each to their I suppose and I'd never take anything as gospel, but for a simple way for an exiled Toon fan to keep up to date, its ideal for me!

No worries, like I say, he'spotentially superb, and fits your transfer blueprint to a tee.

I have no qualms in admitting i'd envy this signing if it happened, feel he'll stay for CL though, he's only been at 'Pellier a year.

 

I was listening to Total Sport on BBC Newcastle last night and the guy hosting it (can't remember his name) remarked that a French Journalist had report Debuchy has a 8 Million Euro release clause which is about £6.5 million.

People bitch about the bids we've made but what they forget is we pay all up front which is much more appealing, particularly to the like of FC Twente who have told Steve McClaren he has to sell before he buys. now £8-10 mill for De jong is much more appealing than £2-3 mill this year and the next and then the next.
We may seem to be being cheap but makes sense if clubs are looking to raise funds and they know we are prepared to walk away if they take the piss. We are the buyers and not going to be held to ransom. MA isn't a billionaire by shear luck

Good post, I agree, its a much more healthy approach than just throwing cash at them, as we've learned the hard way from out past dealings.
