Hello I am HOADIE_BOI and this is the match day hub for the England Vs Ukraine match, I do the match day hubs (Threads as many of you will know it as) for Gillingham throughout the season and have done so for a season and a half. I have decided that I will do the Match day hubs for the England games throughout the European championship. This is where you can chat throughout the game and also in the build up to the game, also in this thread you can post your predictions for the teams which you think we will see play. I have posted this now so that you have a chance to chat before the game and make your decision on who you think will play, also you will know where the talk will all be going on during the game if you choose to post throughout the game. You can post your team predictions before the game, you may include the starting 11 plus the subs which you think will be in the team, no points awarded for your predictions it is just for fun, it allows you to start a healthy debate between each other about the team which we will play or what it should be. I'm hoping 1-1 but I think it might be 2-1 to Ukraine as they're the home nation and whilst Poland went out under the expectation I worry it will give Ukraine a big boost.
I hope you are wrong, I believe we have it in us to win, but win the group I am not sure as that relies on France getting less than us tonight.

This is where we hold them. This is where we fight. This is where they die. Seriously though... Ukraine hold no fears for England. Their only hope is England brick it in the atmosphere but I can't see that happening with a spine of Hart-Terry-Parker-Gerrard-Rooney England to win comfortably (note I am not one of these England fanatics that gets caught up in things... just think England will have too much for a blunt Ukraine side)
Why the hell are we set to counter against every team? Even a team like Ukraine. This set up allows for zero ball retention or consistent pressure. We literally cross the ball/have a shot and then the ball comes back again.
