I'm going for a 2-1 victory today with Young nabbing the first from close range, Taylor hitting a beast of a 30 yard free kick and shola nodding home in the final few minutes from inside the 6-yard box!

    Anyone else like

    Harper
    Simmo Colo Willo Enrique
    Raylor Barton Guthrie Jonas
    Loverman Ameobi

    ?

    HWTL!

Your team looks good but while Jose and Jonas have a good understanding I would like to see Ferguson on LM, with Jonas switching to RM.

    I'd prefer to see:

    Harper
    Simmo Saylor Collo Jose
    Guthrie
    Jonas Barton Ferguson
    Shola Lover

3-0, with Barton scoring from the right corner of the box into the bottom corner after 12 mins
then Loverman chipping a second after a Ferguson ball through just before half time
Darren Bent then gets sent of for a stupid challenge on Danny Guthrie after an inch perfect tackle from the midfielder denies him a sight at goal
then Ferguson curling one into the top corner with 10 minutes left.
(Shola then misses an open goal in injury time, after a stunning Steve Harper save and then a quick breakaway, led by an amazing run from Nile Ranger)

How's that for a specific prediction...

This will definitely be the starting XI.

As well as Ferguson has done Pardew admitted himself it's too early to be playing him in big pressure games, although I don't agree I think Pardew will go with above team, unless enrique is forced out.

Dont get me wrong, I do want to see Ferguson play, he's been a breath of fresh air recently. However, I do think Raylor would play out of his skin given a start today, after the sending off in his last start; and to be honest I would like to see more of what he can do for us given more time!

Though it'll never happen, considering that Villa have conceded more goals from headers and corners than any other team, I'd like to see two big men up front.

I also would prefer Enrique in midfield than Raylor.

    Harper
    Simpson-Williamson-Colo-Ferguson
    Jonas-Barton-Guthrie-Enrique
    Ameobi-Ranger

As for a prediction I think to win it will have to be 1-0. 12 goals in 15 games away from home, 2nd worst in the league. Hope I'm wrong

I'm still sticking with Ferguson but you could be right.

Hmm, I would also like to see Enrique pushed up to LM, given the apparent good relationship that he has with Ferguson. This would mean Jonas would be on his favoured right boot and his delivery should increase dramatically. Its just a shame it will never happen <wah>

I don't see why you would put our best defender on the wing, and a suspect defender who can play on the wing at LB. Doesn't make sense to me.

I'd quite like to see how Raylor plays today actually. I think he has alot to prove to us and to Pardew. Hopefully he can step up like King Leon did against West Ham

Because Enrique is fantastic going forward and can cross the ball better than most our players, I can see him and ferguson overlapping well on that wing.

They could overlap equally well if Enrique is at LB and Ferguson LM, and that would give better defensive cover against Young/Downing, which is Villa's only real threat.
