It should still be perfectly fine for tourists. People get put off going places like Egypt because of what they see on the news, but in reality all you have to do is avoid Tahrir Square and you'll be alright. The same should go for Greece I think, it's not like the whole country is rioting. It'll be dead cheap to visit Greece if they pull out of the Euro as well, as they'll be reintroducing the Drachma and heavily relying on tourism to get the economy going. Would've been more likely if SYRIZA had won in the elections though.
Really wanted Croatia to go through instead of Spain. By the way, have penalties been cancelled for this tournament...no ref seems to want to give them. Croatia should have had a penalty just now.
Onside for me. Keith Andrews got sent off for dissent and had a tantrum about it, thus confirming his status as Qwerty's worst player of Euro 2012.
Croatia absolutely robbed there. Ramos should have got a straight red and I counted at least 2 blatant penalties on corners. If that was a knockout game it would have ended 0-0 as well and gone to extra time. Spain very lucky. This goes with Germany's shirt pull on Bendtner (red and penalty) and Italy 1-0 up with a nonsense Andrews red which could have ended 1-1 11v11. Refs clearly favoring the big teams
Very very tight. Possibly shoulder offside but you can't really blame the linesman here or have any complains when it's that close. The thing to complain about is the Ramos challenge and the penalty shouts.
Apart from Andrews actually played ok. And he didn't deserve to get a red. And actually showed some bottle having a go at the ref and blowing a fuse after a joke decision
I have to say, leaving his one leg onside makes him off-side for me. It the body that counts, & his body was offside.
This tournament is proving to be more entertaining than I had originally anticipated. Mind you there are some annoying teams left, principally Italy who were up to their old tricks of winding up the opposition. Footballing wise Italy are very ordinary and England are more than capable of beating them, should England top the group. However beware their huge array of WUM tricks, some of which they displayed against the Irish tonight. Saw highlights of Germany and Denmark last night and there were some delightful one twos from the Germans. From an entertainment point of view I would love Portugal to get to the final as Ronaldo is easily the best player in the tournament when things are flowing for Portugal. Having said that, I am going to predict Germany v the Czech Republic for a final showdown, mainly because the Czechs have a good record tournament and quite often one of the finalists gets there are after an appalling first match. (I'm off to the bookies on Friday to put money on it)
i dislike spain more than any team in the tournament but his body looked completely onside to me unless I need an eye test. It was just his arm/shoulder that looked off. And then the arm doesn't count because you can't legally play the ball with it but the shoulder was possibly off
