Hey guy's I really am reading all the info i can find , Last pre season it did my nut in with the way it was handled no transfers etc ..... the loanee's , selling players , everything just made my blood pressure was sky high lol....... so this time i'm taking it all in and analysing as much as i can with an open mind !!!!

I'm told buying LUFC is like trying to buy every flat in a block owned by the same person but from different accounts. Hence the takeover (and it is, not an investment) taking far longer than expected. It will happen any time from tomorrow till the first week in next month! But it will happen, its all been agreed. Anyone who has bought a house knows how hard it is to get people to do the paperwork and when the club, ground, training facilities + all the bollocks extras such as lutv and bates fm you can see why its dragging on. Bates will however, as i stated before, be staying on. At least we can actually bring some ****ing players in. Keep the faith. Well Rodz, that ties in with my info that its a takeover, with Bates trying to squeeze as much as he can from the deal. It makes me sick to think he is going to walk away very wealthy from all this.
I know what you mean BillyS , however way we look at it , when he popped up from nowhere when all looked bleak were we all chuffed or what ? for that i say thanks but i'll not say thanks for what has happened since !!! I actually feel a little vindicated now as last year i was stating that he didnt want us to go up due to having to pay extra monies etc & not wanting to put his own money in to Lufc.............. i think i was a little right in that assumption !! I can see how Elmo is a bit sceptical as the info seems to have twisted and turned a lot, however we know what Bates is like. I don't like people dismissing out of hand everyone who claims to be ITK, as there are bound to be at least a couple of people who are. All I've heard is that the takeover is almost signed and sealed but a few loose ends need tying which could happen between next week and the end of the month. It's promising that this seems to be being repeated all over the place by "ITK" people.
IF, & I've put it in capitals deliberately, this takeover finally happens, Bates walking away with some money just brings to an end a chapter in our history. We can agree to disagree on the plusses & minuses of Bates era in charge. But what is not in dispute is that we're still here & in a far better position all round than where we were at the end of the Ridsdale/living the dream era. Yes it took time for all the debt to filter through. And its taken time for us to start moving in the right direction again. But Grayson took us out of the dreaded L1, & Warnock, with some investment, will take us to the promised land. Here endeth the lesson. Well another mate of mine who avoids the forums has told me he heard an announcement is expected tomorrow, probably a load of old bollocks, as the clock ticks down I guess something has to happen one way or another soon.
