Pleased for Bart, deserves a chance for 1st team football to gain confidence and show the ability he has. Played a match against him and his 4 mates at my local park comfortable 8-7 victory, 2 goals and megged him aswell. But would have liked to see us keep him on and then give him the opportunity to be loaned out.

I hope you mean you played against him when he was playing out field or thats not a good sign for his Goalkeeping career, TBH i think he will do really good, I predict League 1 goalkeeper of the year :D

He played in goal and outfield but my superior football skills overcame his!!!!! Nice lad, and remembered me and my mates after the last game of the season when we sang "Polands Number 1, Polands, Polands number one"<party>

Nice interview on their website with him. Says Kelvin is a top guy and a great keeper but he found it "hard to be happy" at Southampton.

Said the people were great etc but at 25 now is the right time to play regularly.

"Southampton will always have a place in my heart."

When asked about showing Adkins "this is why you should've picked me, Bart said "No, this is football. Kelvin is a great keeper."

    No sour grapes then.

Just read that he's to be their number one keeper. I'm betting that playing regular games turns him into a great keeper. The howler of a game against Blackpool will disappear in time and he'll build on his strengths. If you remember, he can be relied upon to save the odd penalty when it matters, so his reflexes are sharp enough, and there's simply no substitute for 1st team games played when handling a situation. The lack of which helped to bring about the horror show. That's now water under the bridge.

I absolutely love him. (Not in a gay way)

He has been one of my favourite players at the club for the time he has been here.

Don't know why i started liking him as my favourite player, maybe just because i like his name!! hahaha

He still wants to play for Poland. Looking at their keepers he hasn't a lot to beat!

If SKD hadn't returned from WHU, Bart could have been our number one in League 1 and that could have been the making of him. However, I suspect another keeper would have been brought in by NC/ML. It went wrong for him at Saints and he couldn't grab his one chance last season (or the ball for that matter), so this is a good chance of being a number one keeper and reclaiming his career. In the end, we were too big for him.

I'll always remember the great run he had in 07 when we hit the play-off semi finals. Still think we would have gone through had he played the second leg.
