Must be a wind up, can't see this happening at all, his wages will be huge. He also has a colossal ego and would disrupt the team ethic, I'd rather do without him tbh....

I can see this happening, because Bendtner hasn't had the best of luck, being second choice at Arsenal, being played out of position there too, being out of the game due to injury also, and then being sent out on loan to Sunderland of all places, no wonder the boy doesn't want a permanent move to the pussy cats, anyway for what it's worth, I think a move to Swansea would be good for both, he is definitely back on form, if you've watched him in the Euros, so I think this could be a shrewd move before his stock starts to rise again, and Arsenal won't get much for him under the current circumstances. What you have to remember is our gaol threat, or should I say our shooting accuracy was just 43% last season, and that was with Siggy, it's clear that Laudrup, who is attack minded player and coach, has already seen from those videos of our games, that we lack an efficient attacking threat, and we certainly don't have any ariel threat (sorry Ash) so to me this makes sense, for both Swansea and Bendtner, matter of fact, I think the move would be an easy one for him, coming from Arsenal!.........................<cheers>

Hmmm.... I don't know about Bendtner. My nephew (also an Arsenal fan) who lives in the Home Counties sent me a text this am about it. He does NOT rate the player.

My own feeling is that NB is a hot and cold player - very talented on his day but can be disinterested when it suits him - which is often. Certainly he wouldn't get within a country mile of the team if Rodgers was still here because his work rate doesn't stack up. Then there is the question of team harmony. He has an ego the size of Denmark and is quick to let people know how good he thinks he is. I can see him upsetting a few of our squad, particularly if he is on big bucks.

Forced to choose between NB and Graham, neither can be described as prolific but Grahams's work rate and team ethic would swing it for me, especially as he knows how we operate, is already paid for and is on sensible money. If both played consistently to the best of their ability, probably Bendtner edges it but how can that be guaranteed and is it worth paying big bucks and risking dressing room disharmony to find out?

Arsenal's Mr unpopular, does bring out such views as yours there Ivor! And his latest paddy power underpants stunt at the Euros, has got him into some hot water with Uefa, and the Danish Football Association has already dealt with the matter, as it has an exclusive deal with another company! they stated "We have spoken to the player and he will not play in those underpants against Germany on Sunday," <laugh> In his defence Bendtner stated, "It is just a pair of lucky boxer shorts that I used in the first game as well and have used before the tournament....."I didn't know I was breaking any rules but I am aware of that now."

The point is this Ivor, when you get a high profile manager, you often get high profile players too! you can't have it all ways!...........<laugh>

Anyway he's not my favourite, blows too hot and cold for me, and I can understand how the gunners feel, but maybe he will thrive under Laudrup, as did Siggy under Rodgers!............<cheers>

I'm thinking of getting a pair of those 'Paddy Power Underpants' to impress the wife!..........

Bothroyd's available only cost you £1.5 mill bargain! or DJ Campbell you could probably get him for a £1 mill, and we would throw Rob Hulse in as part of a BOGOF!!!<ok>:emoticon-0126-nerd::emoticon-0116-evilg

I think Bothroyd and Bendtner aren't a million miles apart apart from how much they'd cost! I'd say no ta to either!

Don't think Bendtner works hard enough for the way we play these days.

Bendtner is a pre modonna that Swansea City does not need . He's got great self belief, but zero talent and technical ability, id rather sign Crouch if you want height, and he's over priced!!! Not our cup of tea. IMHO.

I wouldn't sign him, it would be a shame to burden you with that useless lump.

Nah. Graham is developing nicely thank you very much. As for having Bendtner instead of Lita, Moore AND Graham?

It never ceases to amaze me how quick these rumors start to appear.<doh> Laudrup has been in the job for 5 minutes and on top of that has not ever visited wales let alone swansea before and is not due for the first time until wednesday....I'm sure he has not started to want players yet. He is quoted as saying that he is watching some swans videos and has a mountain more to get through, Let him at least be at the liberty first before starting any rumors..<laugh>

sorry can't agree certainly not about DG , a much better work ethic ,we know what to expect from Danny, Bendtner blows hot and cold ,maybe to bring on but not before Danny's worked his socks off (again) I predict more goals from Danny this season

like he did last season <laugh>...cant see laudrup allow such poor finishing can you......this is one department that as a goalscorer himself will want to improve dramatically. sod the work rate that dont win games...goals do..<ok>
