He would last 8 seconds in a Pulis training session and be injured for the rest of the season, then he'd complain that he deserves to be at a 'big club' and slag Stoke off once he's been paid the last penny of his contract.

Be very surprised if his massively inflated ego would let him go to Stoke. He'll be angling to go over to the states or some Arab country that'll pay him megabucks because that's all the **** could give a **** about.

Doubt he will go there, can imagine in his mind he thinks someone like Spurs, Arsenal, Everton etc... would come in for him. Hes in for a shock.

Am I the only one this could be a decent move for both? Stoke will flog the ball up to the big lads from set pieces and corners and Owen will be the little twat who bumbles over their ****e goal (which will no doubt be their goal of the season!) If he's on a pay as you play deal he'll be an alright signing and granted, he's not good enough for Man Utd but he can still do a job. As much as he's a ****, his scoring record speaks for itself!

Who would you rather have (if you had to) Michael Owen or Kevin Phillips

Can just imagine the poison dwarf leaping up to head in some of the high ball's that Stoke are noted for.

The stats for Owen at Man Utd are strange on first glance - it's something like 17 goals in 54 appearances... but when you consider he actually only started 18 games, it's a decent return.

Of course, he had top quality players around him who actually passed the ball to his feet!

He'll be heading to Dubai I reckon. That way its easy for him if the yard have any runners at Meydan.

He's 5ft 8.... I thought signing any player under 7ft tall was banned at Stoke?

    Oh well.

He'll pull hamstrings jumping for all the long balls from Huth and Shawcross.

The players in front of him have to bend over (no, not for that purpose) and he'll jump on their back and when they straighten up quickly he'll be propelled into the air and be able to get his head to the ball. A crafty plan if you ask me.

Two Stoke / Michael Owen threads going at the same time, if the OP's are ok with it I'll merge them so that one doesn't detract from the other.
