What result do we want? If we just want to qualify, I suppose a Ukraine win would suit us. A draw would give us a chance of topping the group. I reckon Ukraine will beat France by 2.1 or 2.0. All presuming we beat Sweden of course.
Well it's looking like Spain will top group C, so we really want to top our group. Anything but a France win would make me happy, though we will desperately need to beat Ukraine if they beat France today. Italy or Croatia in the quarter final would be nice.
I do think it may be 1 nil Ukraine tonight. To qualify would be good considering pre-tournament status, however that is a long way off yet.
One interesting fact that I just discovered is that if England and France are level on points and goals (which is a realistic possibility), England qualify due to having a higher position in the FIFA rankings. I would certainly not complain about a draw in that game.
If Ukraine beat France today, I wouldn't reckon much to our chances against them. Spain's group is still open, so not certain they will win their group or even qualify (though I suspect they will).
Ukraine have the benefit of the home crowd and the confidence from their comeback win over the Swedes. 2. They have the goal threat of winger Yarmalenko, the workrate of Voronin and Shevchenko whose shrewd movement got him two headed goals against the Swedes. However they have a dodgy GK in Pyatov, and in their last 10 pre tournament matches they conceded twice against Israel [away], three times to Uruguay and Germany [both at home] and four times at home to tonight’s opponents France so they are not solid defensively. 3. France were not convincing at the back against England and GK Lloris looked at fault for England’s goal. However they do have plenty of goal threat with Nasri, Ribery and esp CF Benzema while RB Debuchy looks likely to be a useful supply line tonight. 4. These two met in a friendly in Ukraine 12 months ago when it was 1-1 with 3 mins, plus added time, to play in which France scored 3 goals to win 4-1. That must give the French confidence for tonight’s encounter. IN SUM - France have already beaten Ukraine, they look a stronger side esp in MF and in CF Benzema they have a potential match winner so France are taken to win.
A Ukraine win, followed by an England win would mean that England only need to draw with Ukraine to go through to the KO stages. Cheering on Shevchenko then!
It would be a shocker if Ukraine beat France. The fact that they beat Sweden just shows how easily we should be able to beat Sweden. Two very poor teams judging by that game.

I don't think the result really matters, I think we will need 4 more points to be sure of qualification whatever happens. But if Ukraine beat France I will be quite concerned that they would present a real threat to us as well!
If Ukraine were to beat France we would need to score a few to make their task harder in their final game.
