How much would an iphone 4s 16gb cost on its own?

i got the samsung galaxy s3 last week and i do prefer it a lot more than my old iphone.. the best thing is the battery life which last 3 days with pretty much constant use!

I'd lose a testicle (left) for 3 day battery life!

I have an iPhone 4 which was great but then I updated it with ios5 operating system. Ever since I have problems with charging the battery & it keeps switching itself off. Most of the time I can't switch it back on and have to plug the power lead in to get it to go on. Then it still won't charge and when I unplug it it switches off. I have to do this 5 times before it stays on. It's a right ball ache. I am seriously thinking of getting the Galaxy S3 next time.

Take it to Apple store mate, if an update screws your handset, they usually just replace it no questions asked <ok>

I think this fault is caused by over heating on the 4, it's well known to Apple.

To connor wigham mine runs flash no probs on Atomic but, doesn't on the ipad not sure what happened there. Found an app called iswifter which I think was free and runs flash on both iphone4s and ipad.
To the OP I wasn't sure about the iphone at first but it is a top phone had no problems with mine at all, the new phones are a bit big now (the iphone is big but just about manageable) try putting the S3 into your pocket before buying mate same with the other phones which are all getting bigger and bigger, if it doesn't fit into a pocket you'll need to invest in one of them belt carrier things and look a total tool.

It is cheaper for me to buy an iphone outright and get a sim only deal, than it is to get an iphone as part of a contract.

I would have thought it would be the other way around.

The thing about the iphone is, that its as much as aspirational item as it is a phone. The others are just phones.

Had an I-phone for years, upgraded through the models. Just got an S3 and what a difference. It smashes the I-Phone in just about every department. The only thing that was better on the I-Phone was Sky Go which I am told will be available on Android very soon and the predictive text was slightly better.

The S3 is easier to use and everything is free unlike money grabbing apple. You don't need I-tunes which is a bag of ****. Just drag and drop your music from your PC none of this sync'ing bollox or any of this your Itunes library is synced with another computer crap.

The camera is a lot better, the sync with google calendars and mail is much better, the screen is bigger and much better for watching video on. You can even easily move your contacts from your I-Phone over to your S3.

You can tether it to your laptop for free to get the internet through your phone.

Its just a different world. I will never never ever buy another I-Phone or apple product unless I really have to.

I love the bloody thing and I have had an I-Phone since the day they first came out.

smithy - Get back to work ya lazy bugga & start earning to pay for your "Me Too" lifestyle.

Great thread Guys. My 6yo knows more about Mums iphone, ipad than me. I've just got an old Nokia that you talk into but it works all over the world <laugh> I use skype on the PC though!
