I'm due an upgrade soon and fancy something bit swanky. Cost isn't really an issue. But I'm wondering what it the best smartphone out there. Iphone 4s are very nice, but then the HTC One X is meant to be the better phone. The cons of the iphone is I'm a bit wary of being a sheep and the cost. The HTC is also rather large. And then there is the Samsung S3 or whatever its called. Also would it worth holding out for the new iphone 5 rumoured to be making an appearance in Autumn?
i have iphone it is a really good phone and connected to intunes ect... but there is a few problems firstly it doesnt support flash this doesn my head in i cant watch anything on it at all and secondly you have to pay for everything while there is ways of getting android apps for free
1. Dont get a windows phone, compatability issues is ridic 2. Androids operating system is not as good as apples however it is cheaper 3. The iphone 5 will be a rip off but will significantly cheapen the iphone 4s 4. I plan to get a samsung note in the coming weeks, kinda like a tablet with phone capabilities, has both the samsung and google app store too
Got the Galaxy S2 and love it missus has an Iphone which she likes but I hate so personally would go for the Galaxy S3.
I'm in the same boat, contract coming to an end. Don't like Iphone but want a big phone, big hands. Looking at Blackberry and sonny Erickson arc. Dont use internet a lot on phone, calls and texts and can get some good deals for around £20.00, however, should I go contract with phone, PAYG or sim only and get my own phone. Any help or advice appreciated for an old man.
Doesn't look that hard from what I've seen. And to get the jail break off all you have to do is sync and update it. Then it will revert to your saved back up setting.
You can watch live tv on iphones on iphonetvcatchup.com. Im working 3-11pm all week and I havent missed a single game all week
iPhone 4s for me. It just works. I have a macbook aswell, so everything just works together and updates very well. PLus i find it connects to wifi quickly, is easy to use, and has heaps of apps that i couldnt live without now. Especially maps :S Samsung S3 or whatever it is called is only Made for Humans... so that rules you out Syd
I have a Galaxy S2 but will be upgrading to a S3 as soon as I can. I would highly recomend it. I have had Iphones before but the Samsung is the better device
I've got a Sony Xperia Play, and it's brilliant, it's a playstation phone and comes with Crash Bandicoot and FIFA!
It's dead easy just imagine making a phone call but you actually connect to the person you were dialling
Okay here goes... The iPhone 4s is wonderful, you can do pretty much anything you can think of on it. Siri isn't as good as the advert says since its still in 'beta' creation mode so it's a work in progress, however it can still do a lot of things that the ads cover, it cannot find your business etc though, they are only available in the USA. I love mine and i am very happy with it. The app store is huge and has about everything you'll ever want on it, more than half of the stuff is free, and lots of a paid apps then release or have a free version if you dont mind the occasional tiny advert to appear at the bottom (this does not affect you using the app). For those of you that love the match day programme you can also purchase and read it on your iPhone, therefore ridding you of having to carry it around. internet speed is good and so is the performance, pacy internet (quicker than my laptop) If you are going to get a contract syd then dont worry about having a large internet usage, if you dont use it often then 250MB will be enough, you don't eat into this allowance when your connected to a WIFI source, only when using 3G which will automatically be used if no WiFi is available and your on the internet
Download a free app called OPlayer, lots of websites will then ask to show the video in the OPlayer app you have, simple. If not go onto google and input 'How to play flash on an Iphone'
I swore by Blackberry for years, had about 8-9 of them, and avoided iPhones as I thought they were too big. When the 4 came out I thought i'd try it, knowing if I didn't like it I could sell it, and have enough to by any other new phone on the market, and pocket a few quid (always worth considering when taking a phone...). I will never have anything but an iPhone again, so user friendly and simple, the only thing that annoys me is the battery life, but then I am CONSTANTLY on the phone. Nothing else compares, the HTC is a nice phone with some great features, but it's massive, and they break. BB have fallen way behind the game, and although the Samsung phone's look good and are feature rich, I just don't like the way the screens react, they feel a bit sluggish to me (although I see the appeal of them, visually at least). iPhone all the way, any other phone wants to be better than an iPhone, so it's industry standard.
Blackberrys are rubbish now like its true but I do like getting 2/3 days out of charge with wireless and bluetooth running etc all the time but the apps are a joke. On a really cheap SIM only deal now so will be buying my next phone and this iPhone love in making me think about it. The only trouble is, am I not just staring at the thin edge of the wedge and iPhone = iPad = iBook and the rest???? Humm then again the connectivity is not a headache and I have lost hours trying to get competing systems talking to one another. I'm sure all you lot work for Apple or have shares!!!!!!
