**** me...its almost happened hasnt it? all them Harry out threads have done the job it seems. Harry could be gone!! ohh i do remember the day he arrived...2 points from 8 games...it was good what happened after though, wasnt it lads? we saw some giants of european football come and play at the lane...i loved that! thanks Harry if you have gone.....
This - the last 4 months have been annoying beyond measure but we shouldn't forget what Harry did for the club. 4th, 5th, 4th was our last 3 finishes. We had a great 1st foray into the CL (nobody expected us to get as far as we did) and Harry, at times - particularly this season, got us playing fantastic. Cheers Harry for a few great years
Despite us being bitter rivals, I actually am rather fond of old 'Arry, him and Spurs went hand in hand and what he has done for you lot is top notch. It'll be hard to replace him imo but Moyes is a step in the right direction.
Lets celebrate the break up of another squad, players will leave and its all start again, we should have kept arry and allowed him one more season now we have to build a new team and while other clubs get success through stability, we look to "something new". I hope, i really do that it pays off but at the moment i'm not going to be celebrating anything!
I seriously doubt Modric being over the moon with Moyes, can't see Ade coming back now either. Worrying days ahead...only Spurs could upstage a major tournament.
Levy better have something major lined up and not another ramos or a roberto martinez as if he gets this wrong then it will be the worst decision he has ever made, i wonder who has been advising him on this?
who would you be satisfied with? thats a serious question. as i dont have any idea where this is going to go with the manager thing.
Mate to be honest I don't even want to think about it! as a new manager will mean squad changes and i expect modric will see this as his chance to leave so im wary of any manager due to the uncertainty its going to cause. All i hope is that whoever comes in, is here for the right reasons (not a big contract) wants to play attractive football, doesn't have an attitude and understands the english game and can handle the pressure.
I think the only 2 options at the minute are Moyes and Klinsmann. Martinez maybe too soon. Klinsmann laid the foundations of the current German squad, not to be sniffed at. Moyes has a lot of people saying he plays negative football but given the resources i believe he will get the best out of our SQUAD
i think Modric will go...the others i hope we can keep....to be honest from what i think we are capable of getting..it probably will be Moyes.....Capello is an intresting one that i would initially be happy with.
I think Capello would cause problems within the squad as it would be dour and strict and we would see a negative brand of football. Moyes is being judged on "success" with Everton, but none of that shows he can take us further then what redknapp has, and also play football the spurs way. As for players, it depends on who arrives and how soon, as clubs will see this as a chance to bid for our players and unsettle them.
Great news as far as I am concerned. The lack of professionalism with Redknapp has been unbelievable IMO. The fact that someone like that can become the manager of a top club tells you a lot about the game of football.
