Anyone realised why he scored yet? Just a thought but actually being in the box when the ball comes across from the wing always helps, for us he used to go out onto the other wing when the ball came in hence not a lot of goals for us and a lot for his country.
Denmark play with 2 players hugging the touchline, meaning Bendtner stays in the middle, crosses come in, he puts them away. Simple really.
He is a very good player, we saw that enough. As stated, if he'd just get in the mix a bit more, he'd score goals.
Mind you, I love the Danes. The make great bacon & telt the EU to get to ****. Mucho respecto to the little mermaids.
Bendtner was a decent forward, if he is supplied by the wingers, he will always score goals. Its all to do with the quality of the crosses. I also thought that Kenwyne was a similar player, but wasn't used this way by Keane or Bruce. He was used more as a target man, which wasn't his style. Anyway, well done Nic, all the best for the remaining of the tournament, Germany next I think?
Who'd of thought that if he got in the box he'd score goals! bet someone told him that secret the other day
Putting a large mirror behind the goal would keep him in the middle. Clearly loves himself, but is a good player when he puts a shift in.
Nicklas Bendtner could be punished by Uefa after celebrating a goal by revealing the logo of a betting company on his underpants. The Denmark striker scored twice against Portugal, but could not prevent his team slipping to a 3-2 defeat. After his second goal, Bendtner lowered his shorts to reveal the logo. Uefa is investigating the matter, while the Danish Football Association could also take action because it had an exclusive deal with another company. Sponsors pay millions to be associated with the European Championship and governing body Uefa has strict rules preventing ambush marketing. The company which Arsenal striker Bendtner was advertising on the waistband of his underwear said no money had exchanged hands and the underpants have been sent to several other unnamed players.
