I do like the rules (they are guidelines by the way) I was one of the ones who suggested the no politics thing when the site first started.

You say the actions of the far right groups in other countries may be suitable for debate but not on a Hull City forum. I sort of agree but far right or far left it is just plain wrong. That was the point of the original post. Some may not agree with this. There were some very poor comments bandied about re our owners on this and other sites during the recent period of uncertainty.

I did say MAY, let's face it common sense has to be the first guideline. Once the debate changes into religion or politics, most posters move off the site anyway.

The whole of the Modern day football is run by politics, a game can only go ahead after the local authorities and Police have determined the risk factor, what is going on in Eastern Europe is pretty much the same that went on here in the late seventies/early eighties.
The Right-Wing groups that existed then were proved to be no threat over a period of time and the groups in Eastern Europe now will go the same way.
A word of note is while the media exposed the far right and the authorities closely monitored them a Casual movement moved in and caused years of mayhem.
Eastern europe is heading the same way.;)

Possibly the greatest politics moment of all time. If only all political issues could be resolved by the people in question accidentally brutally cutting off their head while combing their hair.

"Could you at least tell me what the S in his name stands for?"
    "Sod off"
"Fair enough, none of my business really"

Do you talk about religion and politics at work? I would never dream of it. Do you go to a pub full of strangers a start discussing either subject? You may think that because I post on here you know me. But only two or three have met me. To the rest I could be anyone else in the stands. it is so easy to build up a false picture of the person behind the post and that is why the debates have to have rules.

Not that i'm being facetious, but i'm sure plenty of people talk about about politics and religion with people at work. I think I have done in about 75 % of the jobs i've had, it gets boring talking about crap tv people watched last night and things related to your job.

You seem to have missed the whole point of the site. Once again you state the debates have to have rules. This is an uncensorsed site and is loosely moderated. Our moderators do an excellent job and all three have my upmost respect for the way they do this unpaid moderating. There are guidelines, but rarely if ever is a thread pulled or closed and you have to work very hard at it to be banned from this site.

You state that it is easy to build up a false picture of the person behind the post. Indeed, in fact in real life you may be a quite reasonable guy, on here as an internet personnae you come across as a bit of a tit, just saying like.

You asked for opinion and when you got one you slated it. I may come across as a tit, but you appear to be ****ing stupid. Read your first post again. I dont miss the point, I miss your ****ing point you dumb ****. How can an "uncensored forum" be moderated? That is as cock eyed as a post as ever could be posted. Where the **** did you work where talking bollocks was the norm!!
Just how do you get into talking about politics at work, "oh what do you think of the u turn on the pasty tax?", "well it has been on the agenda since 2003 when vat was first put on take away food and it brings the supermarket hot food counters in line with the high street outlets", "oh yes, I forgot that the civil service recomendation that all food should be taxed was watered down to only include hot take away as it was too much of a hot potatoe, forgive the pun", "oh dear all this talking and I forgot to change the roll in cubicle two"

There's no need to be sarcastic, plenty of people talk about taxes and stuff like that, especially when it affects them, your telling me you don't complain when our Government do something you think is wrong, when they raise the price of petrol and other things. Like Robingram said people will get bored about talking about TV and other **** things like pathetic arguments you had with someone on Facebook. I get sick of hearing that type of **** regularly, politics and religious matters can be interesting to different people at different times, obviously it causes arguments in itself when people's opinions conflict but that doesn't mean the entire subject should be banned in all of society.

You see the debate moves further away from football and Hull City and that is the point. I go to work and we talk, but as you say it causes arguements and people do have very conflicting views, but does anyone really come on here to even read ****e like I am posting in reply, no they come on here to post, read and debate Hull City and football. My opinion is that that is how it should be and that is all it is my opinion. The question was asked I replied and I am not changing my mind why should I ? Scarastic as it may seem but the reality is that football and sport is supposed to be above all of that ****.

That's fair, if you don't like the Off Topic threads you shouldn't read them, if the OT threads are completely harmless with no arguments I don't see the problem regardless of how relevant it is towards football or sport. There are a few lads on this board that like discuss things like video games and alcohol, they ask questions and have conversations, our board is much more open minded comparing with the others on this Forum, this is more of a social networking site where we communicate with each other rather than completely discussing football. I sometimes speak with the people on the Southampton board as they have interesting non-football related topics.

Go into tesco on two different days and on the first talk to the people in the queue about what football teams they support. Go back and in the queue ask what religion folks are. That's the difference.

Surely this a political post . There are just as many pervs in the Labour Party, the Libdems and any of the others.
Or is it OK to knock one party but whine about not being political if someone mentions the others in a derogatory way?

If it was in Hull I'd hope everyone on the first day answered Hull City. Unfortunately that wouldn't be the case.
