Just got into the prem Lallana scored 19 goals for me in the championship.

 

I've just started downloading FM12 on Steam, it's going to take another hour, since you Southampton fans have a huge thread about it, is their any tips you could give me, it's my first FM game

 

Tip: Be Southampton, we are great.

Just kidding, the only real tip is make sure you base your style of play on the players you have.

 

You could do that, but don't be afraid to go your own way either. That may take time however, so you need stick at it, and always make sure you have an aim. Once you hit the sweetspot, it's a joy to play

 

Buy Walter Pandiani, brought him for 100k. He scored 15 goals helping me get promoted.

 

Ok thanks, it's still downloading from Steam (how long should this take?), I'm also considering downloading some other games from Steam, GTA SA and Fallout 3, but it says it only runs on XP or Vista, is there a way to download it onto a Windows 7 computer and have it run perfedctly?

 

Played 3 league games drawn 2 lost 1 :-/ not a great start

 

Find decent scouts that know brazil/argentina survive the first season let the scouts find you gems and relax. Just don't panic and try to sign big names like I did first time.

I'd recommend not starting as hull play a season or two as a massive team like city or united that have plenty of money and class players, helps you bed in and learn the trade.

 

My first FM experience was Southampton in FM09, when we had no money and **** players. I learnt everything the hard way

 

I got him for free so if you find him transfer listed don't just offer what they say they want as normally they are willing to negotiate or just want rid, offer nothing to start with, I have got loads of players for free, or with terms in their contract so I don't to pay much or anything to start with, get Michael Bostwick from Stevenage if you are in the Championship, he is great.

 

Normally it is better to start **** as you then get going and build up from the back as the other teams are starting to falter, I started good and now it is going ****.

is this game any good on android?

 

I play it on Mac and its still good, just some of the short cut keys don't work properly.

 

Lost 3-1 against swansea don't think I'm going to last long at saints noone can score

It seemed a good idea its hard to get decent players and everyones over priced!!!

 

I'm sure you could get some decent performances from Shotton. Bostwick would've been better though.

 

You have over paid, but everyone makes mistakes, he should be OK, but Bostwick for under a million would be good, I got him for 750k upfront with it rising to be 1.8 million if he plays 50 games and gets 50 goals, he will play 50 games so I will pay another 400k so but I doubt the goals, I think I will pay 1.15 million in the end.
